How is it disrespectful

Because the decisions been made and everyone knows it.
Mick hanging around for another 2 weeks is embarrassing.

What 'e said.

If this was a movie you'd walk out because it's too stupid to be believable.

I don't see it as disrespectful. MM knows he's gone. Let the air clear then announce he is either coaching out year or a temp coach is appointed.

We are going through a process. Nice to see for a change

Let the air clear ??

HAHAHA !!!

They may have put some things on the table and said take a couple of weeks to think about Mick

Reduction in salary
Change in coaching structure

Who knows
Watch this space

What the club needs is stability. A new un-known coach or caretaker coach, or poached coach won't help the CFC. We have a board that has allowed hysterical supporters and the media dictate the clubs future.

Say what you want say and think what you want to think about Malthouse, his treatment by the media is a vindictive attack on him personally, but also his family. I think it's a disgrace. Yes, we're all baying for blood, but the level of carcass gnawing is pitiful. I understand this may be the media's opportunity for "revenge" against a guy who's bullied many reporters, but this is just a blitheness of bitterness and capriciousness IMO.

There are ways to handle these situations, but it appears certain sections of our society, lead by media, just wants the gory, sensational outcomes. Sad.

Just think this through logically.

If team MLG seriously need the 2 matches to decide if Micks the man for the next 5 years then just turn off the lights shut the door.

Logically, the decisions been made and he's sakced.

Mick just walk away now and don't continue this charade.

Agree totally.

The 2 weeks is to sort out finances & figure out who will walk if Mick is sacked i.e. Whiley & Butters.

Our president is the most unimpressive in the league, hands down.

He's in over his head, and his cause isn't at all helped by a fairly ordinary comms strategy.

He came out a couple weeks ago wanting to be strong and steadfast. Then reiterated that stance. Now he's done a 180 and is facing the other way.

Amateurs.

Carlton will not be making any friends within the football community treating a legend of the game like this.

Hey lets remember we turfed out one of our own for Malthouse.

This club has no soul.

There a lot of considerations both financially and staff wise. The original process was to discuss in the second half of the year. They have acknowledged the issue needs to be addressed sooner and have brought it forward to two weeks.

Maybe Mick has asked for two weeks to discuss with family etc whether he will coach out year or finish straight away?

Personally I'm glad with haven't made the quick reactive decison based on media speculation. Whether Mick coaches the year out or a caretaker is put in. There are a lot of hypotheticals to discuss and two weeks is not long. I really don't get the hysteria at today's announcement

All legends of the game come to an end. He's no different.
If you don't perform, you get the arse. Mick would have ended hundreds of careers over the years. It's his turn.
Look to the future.

If Dwayne Russell likes it then it must be wrong.
