I actually don't think our list is THAT Bad. Sure, we have some average players, but how are you expected to kick goals and win matches with the negative style of football we play.

Sure, the players need to take some of the responsibility - but Malthouse needs to cop most of it! And rightly so too.

Face it, we have one of the worst lists in the competition and probably 'the worst' going forward. Any 'woulda', 'coulda' or 'shoulda' statements are moot.

They said the same thing about Port ... until they actually started playing under a decent coach.

We have gone backward at a million miles an hour since the Madhouse took over.

This!!!

And the Bulldogs too. They have more or less the same list as they did last year. Give or take a few.

Based on a quota of five BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOs per Carlton supporter, I would say about a million.

@#$%&! quotas. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Tad over 20,000 they said.

Now that's more concerning than the loss if you ask me.

Agreed. That's far too many people to have witnessed that shite.

Gibbs was our best player by a street last year ... he did ok today ... a lot better than most.

See this is what I mean ... MEDIA crap.

No one will play well under this coach in 2015.

Throwing the baby out with the bath water won't help.

This club is all about making bad decisions it starts with
Selection of the board
Selection of the coach
Selection at draft and trade periods
Selection of the team each week
Selection of the sub each week
And the bad decisions the players make
We need a full rebuild

Our best players are still too soft.

They've been soft and mentally weak for too long and Malthouse hasn't had any effect in terms of rectifying those deficiencies.

We're Cralton, more [REDACTED] than the rest.

WRONG... backwards at a million dollars per year

If Bell and Docherty can try their guts out, why can't they all?

Having a game plan based on dominant tall forwards is just silly. Casboult is a step down from the elite class, and he's the best we've got. The loss of Betts and Garlett will be a long time replacing. We need a better structure of attack because we definitely have the midfield to get enough of the ball.

Without taking into account current form but on this list is:

Walker
Menzel
Murphy
Gibbs
Judd
Simpson
Kreuzer
Cripps
Yarran
Docherty
Jaksch
Henderson
Bell
Everitt
Curnow
Byrne
Thomas
Jamison
Casboult
Touhy

Not a Hawthorn list but certainly something a half decent coach can easily work with. Certainly not a bottom of the ladder list. Not all played but what we are serving up is a fail. Time to go Mick!

Bell and Docherty did well against their old side.

The simple out for the simple minded is to blame malthouse.
Waite wanted to go. Garlett was a headcase
He got gibbs to play the best football of his career and I would argue the same of walker two years ago.
Betts -thomas was a mistake but we are crying out for 2 way run
Dont tell me a coach that is challenging for a premiership in 2011 and appointed 2013 is past it
Forward line coaching is apalling and mm should go small with walker and menzel but he has no forward cattle
15 years of poor recruiting, coaching, leadership has its day of reckoning

Bell, Cripps and Docherty look like players who can look forward to a good career.
Jaksch I think will get there too. Some say he's laconic or lazy, I think he has the ability to find time and space. Confidence will grow and he'll utilize that time better.
Boekhorst looks smart when he has it, but he's not getting a lot of it. He at least gives us some speed and an ability to run and carry.
Graham needs more of a run. He finds the footy and gets himself in smart positions. He has limitations, but those couple of qualities are worth putting time in to.
Smith lacks speed and polish, but he has a red hot go and appears to have a good footy brain. Turnovers today were lack of execution rather than picking poor options. He has enough ability to be an AFL player.
Whiley is a worry. You'd struggle to find a bloke who's been beaten more convincingly in his first 2 games.
Get Menzel back in and give DVR a run some time this year too.
Not much to be taken from today, but I'll try and find the positives where I can.

If he doesn't look like he's past it then we'll take you to OPSM.
