First Tackle, run, chase, mark your man and kick straight
Then you can play on instinct
Sorry - playing the game according to how an individual player feels is the essence of the problem

I just hope we keep playing the kids. That was a positive of yesterday. You can't beat game time experience.

It would just be nice to understand why Graham was a sub and Smith & Boekhurst played the whole game? Thomas as well.

There is no way any of those three are ready to handle a full game yet which is frustrating in itself. Same for Menzel. Guys like Graham, Walsh, Tutt and Holman are fit. Play them and please don't drop Buckley.

I just hope we don't go back to the older players and also don't rush Kruezer back.

Buckley frustrates me too, but isnt he one of the kids you are referring to?
You cant beat game time experience.

It seems to me Buckley just needs to simplify things a bit and not try too hard to make an impression.
He's a good kid, but if we are playing to win we cant afford to have so many turnovers the likes of Jaksch and Buckley do with consistency.

I remember during the 80's if you couldnt kick and handball both sides it woould be difficult to play VFL unless you were West or Dominator...a freak.

I trained with Hawks in '76 and even back then it was the dual sided players who most impressed and were noticed. I spent a whole summer kicking to a light pole with my left till my left was deadlier than my right, same with handball. It can be done with plenty of perfect practise.

You cant play iinstinct if you cant get out of trouble. You need skills both sides and composure.
We are giving games awayy before the players are capable of hittting a leading pplayer lace out on the chest. We are giving games to guys who cant do theat. 101 footy.

Murphy says we can still make the finals. And that he believes in the list.

... meanwhile gibbs says the effort was there in the last quarter from he and murphy and he's confused as to why they got no ball.

i propose the notion the mods install a vomit smiley for future monday morning instalments from murphy and gibbs.

All I could do is aim for the heart and how a player marked it was up to them...and they could deal with the coach. I always marked hands out. Im telling the story ...right?

Ah, the Monday pressers from Murph and co. Definitely getting a bit boring now, and this is about the 4th since last year, when we put in the first of these horror games. Obviously it's all just talk, as there is never a positive reaction. Something's gotta give soon. Just waiting now for the Pres to say Mick's got 100% support.......he'll be gone in 3 weeks after that

A lot of love for GWS in the press at the moment. Plenty of talk of finals.
A lot of disgust for Blues talking spoons coach sackings , player delisting and trades.
Could this be the perfect storm could GWS get ahead of themselves and could the Blues stand up and say we are not done with yet.

Or am I just being stupid

Changes for next week

out - graham (didn't win the game in a 1/4), casboult (for not kicking straight enough), buckley (got subbed)
in - warnock (he is tall and needs a go), kreuzer (saviour), ellard (need more taggers)

Where have you been?
Yes, one easy miss but kicked 4 goals 2 behinds to be the biggest contributor on the scoreboard from both teams. Did you see Jones by any chance? Did you even watch the game?

 - I've been one of the strongest advocates for casboult on this board. It was an oblique reference to the dropping of casboult for warnock the previous week and mick stating that casboult wasnt playing b/c he needed to kick more goals.

seriously, this is what gibbs said:
It wasn't a great last quarter for probably both of us, but I think the effort was really there. When the game's on the line we want to be the ones stepping up and doing the best we can, and we know we've got a bit of work to do there," Gibbs said

honestly I show more effort strolling to the loo in the middle of the night - unless of course I am busting - this is the problem.........they just don't friggin get it - hair tied back too tight I reckon ........what's that bridezilla?

When did we last beat Hawthorn. They have more substance than we have had for 20 years.

Hearing Dale Thomas on Radio and being reported at the Herald just gives us an insight to how illusional those players have become!! They are in denial, and so is their Coach....

MM Refuses to talk about the past, even though he was part of it the last 3 years and he is solely responsible for the dismantling of the team and then replacing them with recycled rubbish...

As for Daisy, it was beyond embarrasing to hear him say hat Whiley had the better of Beams and that Beams had no influence on the game with his 29 dispoals and 6 inside 50's....

This guy is the first one that needs to be delisted ASAP and 700k Freeded up to get us somewhere!!

Thank you Mick.
No fair enough though mate. It's just that there were few positives from Sunday. I was devastated by it as well. Casboult though was definitely one positive from it.

I think you might be right - GWS could easily have a downer whilst we respond to everyone writing us off.
Furthermore Yarran will return and hopefully Simpson, Menzel and Jamison will as well.
Hopefully the MC shows some common sense and drops Jones and puts either Watson or Jaksch up forward.

yes agreed that bit of Thomas interview strange but rest of it good - a précis - side needs to work harder at training - side needs to work with young players to make them better - side needs a dose of confidence come in on Monday and try to be positive learn from their mistakes and improve - side needs to identify weaknesses and work on those deficiencies
