Couldnt believe we got so close and shouldve pinched it . How many games in last couple os yeras we lost because of bad kicking. So many tiday so easy?
But more frystrating is seeing empty fwd 50 when we storm forward. Even more seeing ellard at CHF against two tall bombers"..........[/quote]

we will never accomplish anything playing this type of game,

how many times did we go to him as a forward focal point, fmd when did he become our latest chf :banghead:

Jones wasn't good but why are we still bombing it to an outnumbered Ellard or Armfield when we have KPP's. If your gonna bomb it, bomb it to them.
There's no cohesion out there, Every time a fwd gets out marked he has a look of disgrace up the field or gets yelled at by a team mate, every time a defender gets out marked or opponent scores the yell at a team mate or get yelled at. There's no team at the moment. Random blokes playing for themselves

Pleased with the effort today.
Simple, if we had kicked straight we would have won. Honestly those Essendon* players should buy lotto tickets, talk about all the luck going their way.
Cripps looked good, needs to kick better for goal.
Good on Yarran, worth a week on the sidelines.
Wood was fantastic, hard to believe we dominated the hit outs and clearances and contested ball but still lost.
That rotten little number 17 umpire is the worst going around.

No more big name "messiah" coaches, no more favourite sons as coach, no more extending coaches contracts after 5 minutes of sunshine, has to be a proper process regarding our next coach. No more buying in "superstar" players. It has to be a long, slow, methodical rebuild, no more attempted quick fixes.

I don't care how talented players are, if they won't run both ways get rid of them, trade them while they still have currency, we have to be looking long term. We've got too many sheepdogs lurking outside looking for cheap kicks. We've got too many one pace taggers. No more players who can't kick (that's about half the side, what an indictment of our recruiters) turn overs kill you in the modern game, classic example Armfield in the first quarter.

On the radio after the game I heard them say that Carlton has only started 0-3 8 times in its history. So 3 of them under MM. Not sure if those facts are correct though.

Kicking for goal. Take our chances, and we'd be a hell of a lot more competitive. We miss, they goal. Momentum is lost.

Field kicking, and even handballing, we miss the basics.

Really needed to up the ante up forward today. Yazz, Walker, Army, should have been up there along with Hendos, Jones, Cas.

Sure Essendon* only used the concussion sub rule to give them time to stem the bleeding from Chapman without losing rotations. End result may add time for Yazz due to the player injury.

Jones chased & tackled and presented better. Hard for a forward with the entries coming in.

Where was the spirit that was finally shown in the last quarter? All too late. Missed our chances to capitalise on our efforts.

Good to see Crippa step up & Bryner of the younger brigade.

Just left function after game. Best post match thing I've ever attended. Sam and Andy very good and funny. All players and coaches mingled and available for a chat. Kudos to the club.

Have no idea if Casboult was ordered to keep Hooker out of the game but if not you can just about lay all blame on him for most of the game.

He fair dinkum bludged all game

A lot of those Bomber players looked way to muscular for the modern game.

Gunna get me some tickets to the Freo v Bombers game and watch a slaughter. They won't be running out of puff.

Why did we all of a sudden came back into the game in the last Q? how did we manage to find so much run and tackle when we miserably failed in the last two Games??

The Answer is very simple: We had a complete Forward line that can run and present. This was achieved by playing Both Walker & Yarran up there. Their presence all of a sudden made Jones look better ( Kicked a goal on the Run) and it brought others into the game such as Ellard and Henderson.

If MM continues to play those two down back, then I rest my Case. We will never be able to kick more than 10 goals all Season.

Byrne was bloody Awesome... He Gave so much run and he seems to have a nice Kick....Give him a permanent Spot and Play him every week. Bring Buckely next week and get the Kids to run off our backline with the help of Simpson. We will start winning some Games as long as MM sticks to having Walker/Yaran up forward.

Doesn't Matter... Walker has to stay bloody up there!

I was listening to SEN and it was said that Jones has miserably failed as a forward at the bulldogs and does not seem to have changed nor improved as a Carlton player so why not try him in the back-line and see if it works??

My feeling is that he has no future at our Club... he doesn't have what it takes... not talented enough and needs to be sent packing to the VFL for Good

effort good. skills bad. only way to fix that is to rebuild. so embrace the rebuild.

casey was great when he came on.

murph is a shell of his former self.

not making Simmo captain was the worst decision ever

boys looked a whole lot better when we subbed curnow. replace with Whiley next week.

forward line is a shambles but tex makes us look slightly better

our senior players are all out of form bar 1 or 2

crippa is a beast

couldn't give a stuff that Yazz clocked that twit chapman...just wish he didn't let it affect the rest of his game

sen is rubbish 24 hours a day

havent listen to it in a couple of years... and even then was scant

Theyre trying to make footy interesting 24 hours a day.. in a period that it has been the least intersting in its history

rumours and the fake call in johns...
