I said weeks ago his knee was shot - and it had been like that for a while. There were only two surgeons in the world that could fix it. It's definitely why he's been playing the way he has.

The backline has looked far more composed withOUT Walker there.

Forward or on the trade table.

Can't agree. This year Walker has struggled with injury and has never got near his best.

An injury free Walker will make a difference to us in 2015. Quick, provides run and importantly can play tall or small and push forward when needed. Add that to Docherty, Yarran, Tuohy & Buckley and our defence can become quite a potent weapon.

Not to mention the much improved White & Rowe.

His disposal out of the defence is usually quite poor, let alone him unable to ever nail a tackle.

The problem is that we want to keep everyone. We need to actually put up some players of (perceived) quality to actually improve our list. Players like Walker, Robinson and now apparently Garlett fit that bill. The rest of the players that wont be on our list next year are dead wood and won't command anything in return.

Fair points, If the offer was right I would certainly consider trading him. Given our current position we need to be aggressive.

Hopefully he has a great pre-season and recovers from the knee.

The best year I think Walker had was as a Forward and now that we have lost both Eddie & Jeff I think Walkers run and pace would be a great asset.
