It's hard to take this thread seriously when the title is in CAPS and has a spelling error.

Poor old Mick with those dastardly journos asking mean questions, no wonder he has to respond like a churlish teenager. Maybe he should grow up and watch how most coaches handle the press. Give your supporters reasonable answers, don't get sucked in, act like the adult rather than an indulged , spoilt brat. Supporters all over the world want some interpretation of how the team is going, not a club video telling us how blue the skies are. That is part of the coaches job. Watch how clarkson, lyon, longmire, hinkley, mccartney, virtually everyone handles the press. It is indicative of personality, control, ego, intelligence. Mick sucks up to former players, particularly stars because he is intimidated by their footballing prowess when he was a second rate thuggish back pocket. If you "haven't played the game", then he will intimidate and bully you whether you ask a reasonable question or not. He is just as nasty and ego driven as Sheedy. Tell him he's great and he us all charm, question him and he spits and scratches. Mick should act smarter than the journos. I want my million dollar coach to provide a reasonable explanation as to why we are so crap and what he us doing about it.at seasons start he said we were at 11o'clock, was that am or pm?

Most of those coaches are coaching top sides so dont get asked the questions that mick gets
Most if those coaches havent had to put up with the bs for thirty years
And by the way. Look at YOUR post, full of emotive inflammatory language. HYPOCRITE.

I haven't bothered with any MMM press conferences for yonks given his propensity to say jack shit whilst using a thousand words. Even his interview on 360 after Hafey's death was a master class in waffle.

Avoid his public utterances at all costs.

Probably all true. But do you think he intends it to be anything different? Sport is war, and the biggest casualty in war js the truth. The art if obfuscation is alive and well and mick is a master. These journos are simply fodder for an old hand who wont play their game and get sucked into making a profound , revealing headline making comment in the heat of the moment.

theyre not journos... none will win any real awards for journalism....
why?
because they are employed to promote entertainment not to report

Say what I said is true and agree with my point like I agreed with yours.

Well Malthouse was no bannana until we picked him up.
He was doing television because Eddie knew it was time to put him out to pasture

STOP!!!!

That is such a stupid comment. As I've told you before, Eddie put him out to pasture - 2 YEARS IN ADVANCE - in 2009. Right after that, to Eddie's great horror, Mick took his club to two consecutive grand finals for a premiership (that club's first in 20 years). Eddie was left with egg on his face but already had committed and had to go through with it. Let me tell you, if he could've he would've rescinded the whole deal at the end of 2011 and given Mick a 3 year extension.

Quite obviously, that's what he should've done. How's Buckley doing with that Premiership list now?

Not my fault if you find it hard to come to terms that we hired a coach Eddie politely sacked

Said he was worried about his health in other words he was losing it

He also suggested that adam goodes would "be up for it"

Your logic has sold me, Sydney Blue.
Eddie knew what he was doing all along.

Just a nice bloke who makes King Kong jokes and tries to sack coaches who win him flags.

I reckon Bucks is doing pretty well with rebuilding a side that won a flag 4 years ago, a fair bit better than the Saints who were in that grand final and a fair bit better that the Blues with a younger less experienced side. Looking like a good call on McGuire's part to not sack Malthouse. Mick was a successful coach, as were Lethal Leigh, Blight, Parko and many others. But you have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them, not be seduced by mega bucks and Carlton committeemen telling you you are the messiah.

Still I have spent most of my life living and breathing the club, elated with wins and devastated by losses but the direction of the club over the last 6 or so years when we have totally wasted the opportunity to become great again has cured me of all that, and now, with Mr sour as coach, I have even less reason to care. I am still a member, but even that might fall by the wayside if we consider re-signing Mick before the end of next season. If we have another season like this one there should be no way he remains.

Why is Bucks rebuilding a list that in 2010 was the youngest side to win a flag in decades?

I preferred this thread when it was 'conferance.'
It's lost something.

Got them a flag after their midfield failed in 2012.

That is a pretty big banana.

Beg to differ. Their midfield was basically the same in 2012 & 2013. Hawks were beaten in 2012 by Mitch MORTON's 2 goals.

Their defence needed improvement and hey presto enter Brian "knucklehead" LAKE.....North Smith medallist and 2013 flag is theirs...............with the same midfield.

I would also go so far as to say Hawks midfield did a slightly better job in 2012 against swannies than what they did against Freo midfield in 2013 who stuffed up with their inaccuracy (Fyfe, Mundy etc)

But then l'd be picking at straws!!

Do we need to nit pick every little flower thing.

Their midfield would have got beaten even more by Freo if Ratts didn't take charge of them. Helped them win the big banana.

I think Argentina would have also won if Ratts was playing for them.

He wouldn't have missed that penalty.

Madness to let him go for Ange 'Strangelove' Postecoglu.

Told you so!!!!
