Yep, especially when Harvey, Petrie and Thomas do their customary killing of us.

It won't matter until gut half the list.

In saying that I think the blues will put up a real fight, will be a close one. They have a habit of only doing well when pasted by the media

No gut 30-34 of the 44 please.....

Why stop there?
Sack em all I want 44 draft picks!

44 picks and we'll smash the league baby! They won't allow it

It's tempting to give Warnock a spell and try Wood. That might happen soon, especially if Warnock is sore. I can't see us playing the both together.

I would like to see Watson, Lucas, McInnes, Sheehan & Holman get a chance before the year is out. They might have to wait until we send a few more off for surgery though.

Don't rush Buckley back. Give him however long he needs to get over his injury. Cripps probably needs another VFL game or two under his belt, but he shouldn't be far away. I'm assuming Waite & Carrazzo are unavailable (what a shock). I have no idea what's happening with Garlett, but could he come in if Menzel doesn't come up? Or maybe Armfield?

Johnson, Tuohy & Bell did not lay a tackle between them last week. Not good enough. But Ellard is the one I've dropped - 6 tackles, but 5 possessions in 3 quarters isn't enough from him. Might have been a bit underdone, to be fair to him. We know MM is a fan, so don't be surprised if it's Graham or Bell who make way instead....

'North Melbourne are a very good side, very good. The way they are playing right now is extraordinary. They beat Hawthorn a couple weeks a go and probably looked the best they have in years. They are a very good side.'

That is my prediction on Mick Malthouse's pre game interview speech. Should have nearest the pin on what he will say :P

Nearly there ABNS, but I can see Wood for Warnock, too. Warnock has been so poor for so long and Wood benched for the last 10 or so minutes on Sunday, indicates a change in the ruck for mine. Can't come quickly enough, too.

Yeah, if it's not this week it will be soon you would think.

I wonder if this is the most consecutive games Warnock has played? Looks to me like it might be taking its toll. Not letting him off the hook, his form lately has been average, but a player with a history of breaking down has played the whole season as our#1 ruckman without much help and is looking stuffed. Hardly a shock. The MC might think it's better for him in the long run to work through it?

Judging by the VFL last time they met preview it looks like 206 might get a spell

"
Man mountain Majak Daw could be in for a massive day in the ruck, with Blues ruckman Cameron Wood likely to earn a call-up to Carlton’s AFL side"

Good. I'd like to see Wood get a couple of games if only to see whether there is any noticible difference in the quality of the movement of the ball around the ground with a different style ruckman.

To be fair to Warnock I think he is trying his best. Just not sure his best is top 4 material. Nothing to be ashamed of about that.

Ellard wasn't ready last week. Johnson will be better for the harsh experience, but at least got a goal on the board. I'd expect both to bounce back pretty quickly if they are relegated. Ellard will be fitter, Johnson just that bit more experienced and wiser. My guess at least one will be omitted.

I want to see Garlett back soon. All players lose form at some stage. When he is on he is a match winner and we have precious few of them. He is potentially too good to just let wallow. If he has issues - injuries/personal whatever - the aim should be minimum to have him back at the club motivated and ready for pre-season in November.

Menzel only if fit. I'd like to see Cripps in the side for the rest of the year even if he is mostly the sub.

I like the move of playing Watson key forward in the 2's. I'd keep him there for next couple of weeks and work on his forward patterns and goal kicking. He wouldn't be the first big bloke who has struggled as a defender but prospered moving forward. Signs in the last two Northern Blues games that he is a player whose influence on games could grow a fair bit through more confidence.
