Toby Greene has a bit of history though and he has been charged.

Fine and or suspend White, make him apologise etc. Maybe the guy he hit will also think twice about mouthing off now assuming Whites version is correct.

No you don't have to hit them but you go up to the nice Samoan security guard and tell them the mouthy prick in the pink shirt has been giving you and your friends a hard time :)

And because you're an AFL player, you slip the said samoan a fifty to 'reorganise' his appearance.

And by appearance I mean face.

Verbally abused & filmed against his own wishes. The guy was asking for trouble. Not excusing White resorting to violence, but seriously. What sort of Carlton supporter genuinely goes out and tries to bait a player like that.

Sounds like White was being baited and unfortunately took it.

Just like Robbo @ BDO a year back.

I just can't understand why a Carlton supporter would try and bait a Carlton player. Maybe if he was the worst player on the list there might be some twisted reason.

This is extreme but they have to expect that. if you don't want to get into trouble, go where the trouble ain't.
It's a sad fact that people just can't always go where they would like to go.

Maybe if they put a $500 cover on the door there would be fewer incidents. Like at the Monaco Casino. There is a poor-man's casino on the other side of the carpark but to get into the real thing (in 1997) there was a cover of 100 euros.

I'm wondering if he wasn't pushed around initially, talk is that the security footage is supporting him rather than hindering him.

On another note, what sort of supporter would ditch a club because of this anyway? One player isn't going to take away something from me that has been a large part of my life.

Exactly. Look at Hotcox - Brock McLean either clipped his missus or did a doughie on his front lawn but he didn't quit the club - he has just spent the next 4 years hating on him and claiming he is going to be delisted. Same as Jimmae with Ellard.

I think he's an "alleged" supporter.
Could be a bummers supporter playing a prank.

Hotcox and Jimmae always struck me as big time players, who would not put up with footy players moving in on their turf.
Maybe Brock and Ellard tried to cut their lunch at Eve or Baroque one night.

You know what kind of person would do something like this ?
Some spoilt little rich kid who has been instructed to say that he's a 'Carlton supporter' by his lawyer father as it may help his case.

So he didnt go up to him and say "good win" and he went bang.

OMG if that's the case.

Tell me it isn't

Rich, Lawyer, instructed....sounds orchestrated if you ask me.

Embarrassing.....for the lawyer and his kid. And what about the lawyer !

I read on facebook that Simon has been cleared by police of any wrong doing. It may not be 100% accurate but it looks as though he will get out of trouble for this one. I would say that he will pay some medical bills and that will be that with both parties having learned a valuable lesson.
