I'd been told we've been given the crappy time slots because they're trying to lift TV ratings & crowds and we were ranked 2nd for both last year. It's why we are in 3 of 5 sunday night games. Its designed to win sunday night tv ratings - and we were second last year.
Same reason why Collingwood copped Sunday afternoon games last year. They wanted the ratings leading into the 7 news.

4.40pm works for me - flying down to Melbourne for the weekend and early game means I'll make it back to the Barkly Hotel in St Kilda in time to knock off the $150 karaoke first prize :smoking:

On a related note, my members guernsey arrived today in time to wear to the game - looks sweet and me and the old man's names got a primo spot

Really? My fixture apps say 4.40pm...sucks if that's not true!

edit: even the AFL website says 4.40pm. Hmmm...

edit edit: Just realised you're referring to the televised game. I thought you meant Foxtel Cup. My bad

This will be a a great game tough and hard , good clash. The Crows are getting their act together and will not be push overs. A lot depends on the personal we have ready to go and I'm a little concerned about the break and it's effect on players mind set too. Should be a great game we 'll knock them off in very close one .
Ciao

They'll get pounded by Collinwood and play us in a state of shock.
We'll be fresh from the break like we were last week (10 days off) and come out firing on all 18 cylinders.

If we don't knock them over I'll be very surprised and disappointed.

That went well

ADE 76 vs COL 55

They'll beat Collingwood comfortably and play us in a state of "if Collingwood trounced these guys, we're a shoe in!"

Fixed

Scotland for Robbo, and Giles for Tuohy will do me.

If Judd is only 50/50, nobody in their right mind would play him. So expect to see him in the starting 18.

We don't have the balls to sit Juddy down and show him what the Northern Blues jumper looks like and give him directions to a VFL ground.

It's the one small thing I've been crying out for since the achilles injury was announced. Bring him back via the twos.

Wasn't too good for the Hawks with Hodge or North with Swallow.

If there wasn't a bye we would have played him this week.

Pfft

Giles hasn't earned it
Games are handed out as gifts

Bell for Robbo so long as he's fit

Giles for Touhy makes no sense
Ones tall the others small

Whether match fit or not, Judd is our number one extractor. Nobody else can match him for clearances, so why delay his inclusion. We have been smashed in the middle despite Warnock's tap efforts so I would rather have Judd back than persist with others. Other than as an on baller I don't see a role for him to be honest. His kicking is average and he is not defensively minded. Judd is a one position player and has been sorely missed. On the other hand, returning Carrots straight into the seniors did not make sense. Not sure what he brings to the table.

Please, in your completely unqualified opinion - please let me know qualification you base your opinions on Giles not having "earnt it" on? Watched any VFL at all? Guessing not, as you won't answer my questions on your numerous "assessments" of Temay.

Makes sense as Adelaide's forward line is quite tall. Jenkins, Walker, Pods. Eddie's record against bigger defenders - Dale Morris, Harry O, Chaplin is pretty ordinary also.

Without bringing in the extra tall, you either rob us of forward structure by playing Hendo back, or run out of the backline by either playing Walker as the third tall (which he's not really that good at) or Buckley in a lockdown role on Betts.

I'd let Giles run with Pods up the ground, don't let him be that floating tall down back as he can be, and he's not going to get isolated up the ground on Jenkins.

But you just saw the username and threw a wild haymaker didn't you ;)

Because Surrey just likes being contrary for the sake of being contrary.
