Maintain the rage.

Never forget to keep these shitstains in their place.

We could lose every game to this symbol of irrelevance for the next 54 years and STILL have a better win/loss record than them. We will all go to our graves with this.

@#$%&! them. @#$%&! their one premiership. @#$%&! their Jamie Oliver-esque collection of wooden spoons.

Cripps had a shot isn't ready
Buckley and Menzel getting heaps of opportunities
Graham you could argue deserves a run of games
I saw Blaine and Reynolds. Uncontested chest marks and goals. IMHO not ready

Since we are leading into the bye I'd like to see Menzel get a full game if the fitness staff think he can run it out.

We all know where the Blues are at being short 3 or 4 gun players of various types.

If we are clever and lucky we might be able to pick up one or two through trading at end of season. But we need to develop 1 or 2 from in house if possible.

We have a few promising young blokes in the 2nds who may benefit more from 5-6 more games at that level before they are exposed to AFL level.

For this week I'd prefer no change to the side unless there is a proven player recovered from injury. Menzel full game and Lucas sub.

People are saying we should play the kids and tank. Our senior players are doing a good job for us already and we are not tanking or are we.

Tanking gets you no where. Look where we are now and look where Melbourne are. Building a winning culture is what is required. Mick will identify the passengers and hopefully will be replaced by someone who wants to wear the navy blue jumper more than anyone. We should base our selection on input and reward hard work. Let that player who doesn't care play in the VFL and at the end of the year, see you later.

Even if the player is not up to it, we should only play players who work hard on and off the field and are passionate about playing for our club. No gifting games because you are a lazy 21 year old. No gifting games because you are a talented lazy 26 year old. No gifting games because you are a lazy 30 year old senior player. Play people who are prepared to bleed for the jumper.

The season is screwed and it is all about building a winning team.

Sorry everyone, I tried barracking for freo to be free of my blues, yet alas it didn't work , but as a good buddhist my teacher Traleg Kygabon Rinpoche told me I must barracking for the Saints this week, because protecting buddhist saints is more important than being freo of our personal blues :donk:

..........
......

......

.... go blues...sorry go saints...go free of our blues thanks to our saints...

Quite sad isn't it.
I think if Yazz, Waite and Carrots all play, we should win.
If 'Good Carlton' turns up, we could realistically win our next 3 games (Saints, Crows in Melb, and Lions)
But I don't trust us.

God help Carlton.

The inconsistent slow Blues.

I remember not long ago we had the speed to rip teams apart when we had the ball.
We were always shithouse defensively.

Now we have no speed. Yarran can break lines but his decision making and kicking usually means he hands it back to the opposition. That's probably got to do with the lack of options he's got to kick to.

In: Hardness and speed for our midfield. cupboard bare! oh well, then its Waite Yarran Cripps Carrazzo Ellard

WTF is going on with Garlett, Armfield, Walker? We need them in form and breaking lines.

Saints will bounce back this week. They do tackle a lot and we can't handle that sort of pressure. Plus they have a match winner.

Hendo and Waite need to kick 10 to give us a chance.

I don't think we are a slow team in terms of leg speed

it's more about our deplorable skills and decision making that is killing us

It's not about tanking in regards to draft picks... you're right, that gets you nowhere

It's about playing on merit... Cripps, Holman, Graham etc. instead of rushing back Carrazzo and Judd

Giving Menzel a full game... maybe at the expense of Garlett

It's preferring Dockerty in place of Scotland when Yaz comes back

We have enough senior players to be competitive and blood a few kids, especially now that finals are realistically over.

Remember last year when the forum experts drew a line through Buckley? Not good enough... will never make it. Northern Blues form isn't always indicative of a players value and kids can make huge strides by playing alongside more experienced team mates.
