for me...

OUT: Tuohy, Rowe, McClean
IN: Walker, Casboult, Graham

Start Waite down back on Daniher... and let Henderson and Casboult see if they can provide a target up forward.
Tuohy has been awful first two rounds and needs to recapture some confidence in the 2's... as has McClean.

As a backman, Tuohy is Stephen Silvagni compared to Waite.
Waite is loose, undisciplined and sooks up when pushed back. If you want to play him there to spite him, fine.
If you want a back man of value, forget it.

In. Walker. Giles. Cripps
Out. McLean, Rowe, Robinson

Bell is on thin ice as well. Fumbles too much

At least Bell has a red hot go.

Drop: Brick, bring Walker back in.

Swapping Rowe for Casboult is negligible. Rowe can take a grab and kick straight, but is as physical as Oprah Winfrey with a torn ACL, Casboult can take a grab and clear a pack with physicality but can't kick to save his life.

For some reason I think this time next week we'll be celebrating one of our most famous victories yet.

I thought this as well last night but woke up this morning with a feeling of dread .

At least its at the MCG where they will have a much more difficult time locking down play like they did against the Hawks. But yeah, hope you are right Braithy.

The bombers running, tackling, commitment and desperation was outstanding last night.

They should have won, whilst they were also blooding some kids and getting games into young talented players.

They also have quality KPP and mobile rucks capable of kicking goals.

It pains me to my core to say it, but they are everything we are not. Was very jealous of them last night. It may be drug induced - but at the moment - it doesn't matter.

They play with heart and ferocity - and have genuine exciting talent.

This game feels like everytime we come up against hawthorn. Tough, desperate opponents who expose our fragile, weak minded group and list flaws.

Will be getting on Essendon* +30 at the very least. Will also be living under a rock from the second the game starts.

It's going to get ugly.

Hendo is a natural defender and should stay there with Jamo as kpd's. Walker 3rd tall rebounding defender.

Rowe and Waite as kpf's.

Cripps for butcher Robinson.

Graham for McLean.

Lucas as a tagger - Touhy outside running mid with GIBBS & Daisy.

McLean should be dropped for sooking it up on the bench when he was given the red vest. Robinson is a very ordinary footballer and should not be in the side if we are going to improve this year. Bell has a go but has shocking disposal by foot but is worth persisting with for at least another couple of weeks. Not sure what some posters issues are with Rowe as I thought he went ok against Richmond and will definitely improve with more game time.

Out: McLean Robinson White
In: Graham Cachia Walker

People calling for Levi recall, ask yourselves this....

If he can not cement a spot in a side that is crying out for a key forward, what is that telling you ?

Levi / Rowe / White = crap key position leftovers from the Ratts/Hughes era.
Problem is someone has to play there and with Kreuzer out someone has to relieve ruck. Casboult is probably the best available of that lot.

Casboult and White didn't come form the main draft so if we got anything out of them it was a bonus. Rowe, on the other hand, was a 2nd rounder in the main draft.

The playin group is shit... look past your narrow minded theory on the coach

Well Ratten had a worse list ... and did a lot better ... but never fear ... I believe in Dr Strangelove and the MC. One day people will write songs about them.

In what universe did Ratten do a lot better. In his only year with a worse list, MM has already equalled Ratten's best.

I personally don't think the problem is with the coach, the players, the recruiters, or any single constituency. But to say that Ratten did better (let alone A LOT BETTER), well BBW, you really are off with the fairies. You should stick to your stand up routines, and leave footy alone..... It's possible that it's just not your field.

is there any chance at all that we can come out with some venom and hurt a couple of their key players with "lonergan style" tackles?

show some passion for a change blues.

We're not as sh1t as people think in the ability department. Problem is a lazy culture and lazy players. Last year was an example. We finish 9th because we're lazy but by the same token we got 9th because the "good" Carlton, the one with football ability, came out for 30 minutes in round 23 and played like champions. Then showed how lazy we were all year by putting the ability we have on show, something missing for much of the year, and winning a final from 9th. Being underdogs in this situation often brings out the "good" Carlton. So i'm tipping we'll lead by 35 pts and then get run over late kicking 1.8 in the last qtr.

As I have said before it frustrating being a Carton supporter. Never safe when in front as we have lazy lapses, which are often costly, but never beaten when a long way behind either as we can suddenly produce a scintillating burst of brilliant, skilled footy, come from the clouds and win (or tease and get close) within 20-30 minutes (goalkicking aside). Right now we are a waste of talent due to a lazy culture.

..we are nothing without structure.. ..waite can't even spell the word, let alone provide any.. ..get him running, high hf role and he can rest deep, but nothing less than midfielder km's out of him, or it's the ressies.. ..constant movement!..

..hendo at chf, all game.. ..quite frankly I don't care about our kpd's getting smashed, cos it will happen anyway if we don't play a bonafide chf and hendo is our only one of quality.. ..the bolt is our other chf option, but would rather play wood as the second ruck than bolt.. ..and Waite and hendo plus second ruck is enough height, even with Waite high hf..

..down back is jamo plus watto, if he is injured blood Giles.. ..rowe only plays after kids, he is deepest of depth now.. ..walker and/or Andrejs to provide 3rd man coverage to help out, back six is more about team work than collective cms..

..gibbs and menz to play major time at hf, need their natural hf creativity.. ..menz can rest at fp, Gibbs can play bit tme thru middle.. ..also rotate jiffy and yaz thru the middle as well.. ..ditto dt, simmo, Lucas, walker.. ..I would use walker more in the middle, he has some mongrel and will run and spread, with some height to be a marking mid as well..

Just F%#@ing go out and hurt them. Carlton vs. Bummers early in the year is more often than not a surprising result. We've got to win a game eventually don't we?

Wouldn't it be great to see the boys go out there and ram the drug cheats into the turf as hard at they can. Rattle them. They're content with losing to the dawks by a kick and think they'll play all over us... Well they probably still will but stick it to em blue boys!
