..what did we think?, half the game without a genuine ruck to battle against.. ..got his hands to vast majority of hit outs, but just doesn't seem to influence enough.. ..limited in tap placement, but majority of rucks are.. ..is it him?, or is laidley a fail for midfield coaching..??.. ..gets his touches, but doesn't have good footy smarts when using the ball.. ..his height enables him to neutralise his opponents, which does have it's uses, but he offers nothing when off the ball... ..a liability up forward, Wold rather he rest flat out on the bench, and not stuff up forward structures..

His double palm straight to a Geelong player for a goal a highlight.

Yep...but he did allright a few weeks ago.

I'm from the camp we dont have any class ruckman on our list....yep that includes our 200cm ruck rover Kreuzer.
I do miss Kreuzer but that's out of desperation and that he's on our list...and maybe, just maybe he may show some form one day..I mean the form we expected him to hit when he turned 23yo...refer to old posts.

..I think krooz's actual ruck skill is under rated, because he doesn't always rack up a lot of hitouts.. ..but he gets enough, and will have big numbers at times too, but his tap to advantage is very good.. ....what we really miss is his work rate and constant tenacity.. ..and he hunts the ball inside the stoppages like a huge inside mid.. ..maybe we can play krooz and crisps as rovers to knockers and be massive!!..

Of the 44 players who took the field last night, every one had at least one mark .... except Robbie Warnock

Zero marks, four possessions, for a whole game of football.

Geez, you're gunna have to absolutely dominate the tap outs and be a massive physical presence in close to compensate for those numbers

IMO I still think Kreuzer is our best bet long term... Warnock is a better tap ruckman, but Kreuzer is a better all round contributor on the field, i think what Kreuzer gives in contested possessions, work rate, tackles, marks etc, is worth much more then Warnocks taps... obviously the last couple of years wrecked by injuries have hurt this... hopefully with a year off and a full preseason he can be our number 1 in 2015... i don't know where this leaves Warnock honestly, probably trade bait or back in the Magoos.

Heard an interesting stat on the radio. The average marks per game for ruckman right across the competition this year is 2.4.
This was said to be due to tghe fact that the game was being played differently and that teams aren't using their ruckmen as marking options. Regardless of their abilities, teams don't play through their ruckmen.

..I've been saying for a while now that ruckmen are not marking players, for a variety of reasons.. .... ..some teams do use their rucks though in general play, rucks that can balance an uncontested game with their contested work are doing very well..

The way the game is going Kruezer could easily be our better option moving forward. The key for me is we can only play one. If Kruezer comes back and can get fit IMO the worst thing we can do is try and make him a forward. Do that and we will ruin him.

Different style of ruckman.

One is good.

Oh dear.
Think about the league average of 2.4 per game......

That should put him @ 50

If he is on 16 then there is another ruckman out there on 84 grabs for his 21 games.

Wowee...

Last week zero marks, 4 possessions

This week zero marks, 5 possessions.

Definite improvement in anyone's language

Except he got smashed, really smashed, in the hit outs this week as well by an ageing dinosaur at his third club.

Nowhere near good enough Robbie, you are a huge liability at present.

Hurry up Kreuze, let's hope like hell you can make it back.
