Carlton fan Chris Atkinson has just been officially signed to the new Hyundai WRC team. He'll only be getting a drive at Rally Australia at this stage, but if this doesn't have marketing potential written all over it for Carlton I'm not sure what will!

The only slight snag is that is Rally Australia is held around Coffs Harbour in mid-September. :razz:

It's an opportunity to put Carlton, and the AFL to a lesser extent, on the world stage due to the coincidence of Atkinson driving for the club's major sponsor. Or, speaking locally, it's an opportunity to expose Carlton to a broader national audience.
