Why is it on Sunday? Makes no sense.

Rich get 8 days coll get 6.

And 5th has a shorter break than 6th going.in to week 2 which is not fair.

Made plans assuming saturday night game and I've been done over!

Can anyone explain this? Is it due to the rugby game at subiaco in week 2??

I agree I'm spewing, just had a blue with the missus as she wants to have my 4yo b'day on that day, trying to get it for the Saturday - not looking good

what part of 'we are in the finals' does she not understand?

She's a kiwi, has no liking of the game at all - round 2 with her will start today about getting the b'day changed to Saturday

No expectation on Carlton at all vs a Richmond who have the pressure of not wanting to waste a "good year".

Reminds me a little of 1999.

Plus they have no finals experience and we are the Elimination Finals specialists!

wait till she's in a loving mood, preferably after a nice cuddle, maybe a glass of wine, plus, it's father's day..you have leverage.
Now, gently look her in the eyes and tell her how much it means to you.
If that fails...(you suck, and practice more!! ) no, seriously, if that fails, then get the party for 11am. Tell her you'll compromise. If she insists, then ok, but you need to leave home by 2.00/2.15 pm at the latest. hold your ground son!
marriage is compromise, but both ways. she needs to really hear from you that this is important to you, even if it isn't to her.
good luck. this message will disintegrate in 5 minutes.

If we win, should we sing the Essendon* song after the siren as the ultimate troll?

This thread has a head if steam up.

Not bad for a game we apparently don't deserve!

I just checked ticketing, there are now 7 price categories from $35-80 instead of I think 3-4. Bit confusing.

I wonder which Carlton will turn up?

The embarrassing or the brave?

Given the mental demons our players seem to struggle with most weeks, I reckon we've got the ideal opponent. If there's one team well go up against with self belief that we can win, it's the Tigers.

Richmond is the ideal opponent for us. Not a hard side and will have enormous pressure on players in first final.

We match up well, love the MCG and beat them recently.

If McLean, Judd & Scotland are back we will win. I'd drop Warnock, Robinson & Duigan.

I'd also be tempted to play Graham along with Menzel. The experience will be huge for them.

Just hope it doesn't change our attitude to list changes come years end.

Will we play the long ball and bomb it in to immobile bigs with limited skill sets? Or will we play to our strength, press up the field, surround the ball and spread fast to space?

The tigers aren't hard at it, which plays into our hands. Turn it into contested football and tackle hard, and it doesn't matter if we have out injured, I'd expect us to win.

No chance Warnock will be dropped. Thought his work rate was huge in the last qtr. a lot of it won't show I a stats sheet, but he was right in the thick of a lot of it.

Micks assessment of Kreuzers game wasn't glowing.

Out of Kreuzer or Casboult IMO.

Robbo was awful last night, but awesome against Richmond 3 weeks ago.
