Well if playing a final is a positive, then yes.

Can't make the eight and I certainly don't want to play by finishing ninth plus we could lose and still finish ninth

I'd be interested to see if we are given a choice to play finals if we finish 9th and if we would take it?

We will beat port if we have nothing to play for and lose if we are playing for a finals spot
Carlton can't win when it counts

What's scary is we could easily sneak in by losing next week.

We then play Richmond which we could win and be in the second week of finals?

FFS

Seems to be the story.

Funny thing is Port now have a spot so they may not play their best side.

That means curtains for us.

Can't imagine any team would knock that back. Exposure for sponsors, and experience, good or bad, for the players.

Just a thought based on Mick's comments.

That 8th spot won't be offered as a choice.
But I really couldn't care any less about that, or this week against PA.
Supporting your club is an emotional experience, and this group lost me on last night's performance. I just don't care about them anymore, and until there's comprehensive change at the board and executive level at the club, they can all GAGF.
No membership, no merchandise, no raffle tickets, no cajoling the kids to stay interested.

It always starts off like that but then we win a couple of games and things change.
Not sure why some are getting to steamed up on the back of last nights efforts as they're consistent with what we've seen this year: Consistently inconsistent.

We really should hold back and see how "serious" we are come years end.
I don't trust several of this current lot so let's see how we treat them over the course of the next few weeks. We can talk then.

I think it's embarrassing to be placed into finals from 9th spot. Totally unworthy.

Last night was far more about execution than effort imo

Yes the next two months will be critical for the short and long term future of this club. The big questions is... Who is prepared to put their hand up?

That's where I'm at too though I didn't have to watch yesterday's game.

Was sitting on a sunny terrace drinking beer in Estonia getting score updates instead.

I highly recommend it as a way of coping with being a Carlton supporter.

It's easier when you can't see it.

We've done all the talk. No more needs to be said.
Any players that are finding things "tough" should be dealt with accordingly: Tough.

Malthouse won't F*** around and neither will McKay.
I just hope that they're not quite as reactive as us fans can be. Tell me what the big picture is and I'll listen.

25% list turnover should be/has to be the target this year.
No more Mr. Nice Guy.

The problem with Carlton though is that one night you hear Chris Judd say "We need people to come into the side who are competitors" and the next morning, you hear from a reliable source that the deal with Jack Watts and Carlton is as good as done.

Dear Carlton,
Go @#$%&! yourself. Nobody cares if you win or lose, much less the players.
See you in 2014, maybe
