Sad...very sad...and sad that many people overrate him as a footballer. I suspect the Saints will get Brown from West Coast and wouldn't even consider Jamison. I suspect they'd take Joel Patful ahead of Michael Jamison.

St Kilda are a good recruiting juggernaut.

How we did not reshape the list last pre season i will never know. A new mix and a new balance to the team could have been half achieved already. Instead we wait another year.
Too many laying it all at the feet of the old coach and taking their eye off the ball to solving the real problem.

Mick barely showed his mug at trade week.

Wasted year.

Because your good buddy Ratten had all the deadwood locked in with 2 year contracts.

You can do better than that Agro. You surely don't think we could not have traded last year because our bottom 3 players were contracted ??

I think your Ratts "SuperCoach" is the one who could have done better - dont pin it on me.

That doesn't make sense. Even with the cute wink.

I would prefer that Bruce kept his thoughts in house.

There is no need for the rest of the football world to know what we are all thinking.

Nevertheless that is his style and hopefully something comes of it.

I disagree. It needs to be said. There is no action at our club unless it gets to the media.

I like the fact we got the guy from the cats but preference would be to replace the other guys as well.

Clean slate.

We need to get to the root cause of our problems....
Sticks has been an administrator now for longer than he has been a player....
Is it a coincidence that Sticks has his fingerprints all over this club at its very darkest era??

Is it a long bow to draw to say that???

Wait... can anybody dig up the Sticks blue print into the future???

Lets have a read n a laugh!!!....

This guy hides!!!!

This is Mr Hughes' (and Mr Rodgers) record at the National Draft since Mr Hughes started at 2004.

2012 Menzel
Temay
Graham

(no goal to goal line/spine players)

2011 – Bootsma
Rowe
Buckley (F/S)

(one goal to goal line/spine player)

2010 National Draft
Pick 18: Matthew Watson, Calder Cannons
Pick 34: Patrick McCarthy*, Glenelg
Pick 42: Luke Mitchell*, Calder Cannons
Pick 67: Andrew McInnes*, Dandenong Stingrays
Pick 70: Nick Duigan, Norwood
Pick 85: Jeffery Garlett, Promoted Rookie
Pick 99: David Ellard, Promoted Rookie
Pick 108: Simon White, Promoted Rookie

Picks 18-42 have not fired a shot.

2009 National Draft

Pick 12: Kane Lucas, East Fremantle
Pick 43: Marcus Davies, North Hobart
Pick 59: Rohan Kerr*, Dandenong Stingrays
Pick 72: Sam Jacobs, Promoted Rookie
Pick 85: Aaron Joseph, Promoted Rookie

This group of players should have been the core 4-5 year players that take us to a Premiership.

2008 National Draft

Pick 6: Chris Yarran, Swan Districts
Pick 40: Mitch Robinson, Tassie Devils
Pick 65: Rhys O'Keeffe, North Adelaide

Pick 36 : Jake Edwards, Western Jets U18

2004 National Draft
Pick 9 : Jordan Russell, West Adelaide, SANFL

Pick 41 : Luke Blackwell, Swan Districts, WAFL - (Father/Son selection)
Pick 73 : Chris Bryan, Frankston, VFL
Pick 77 : Anthony Raso*, Dandenong Stingrays

Mr Matheson's criticisms are correct. You cannot dice it, bake it, slice it or dice it any other way.

We cannot buy Premierships any more. We have to buy the best Recruiters such as Beatson and Wells to select the best players.

The Club's Directors and/or Administrator(s) who decided to continue with these recruiters for this period must take responsibility for their actions. If not, we run the risk of repeating history.

That's suicide material right there.

Couple that with piss poor development... All a big recipe for the turd of a position our football club is currently in.
