Yeah, he's injury prone, but it's not as if hr deliberately gets hurt.
How bout supporting your players in their time of need instead of taking smarta**e pot shots.

Where do you stand on the subjects of milking injuries, not doing the proper rehab required, going out till all hours before a game that he ended up being a late withdrawal from, or withholding information from the club about injuries during contract negotiations that mysteriously surfaced once a three year deal was signed?

The club and the authority within the club need to discipline and be diligent in their knowledge of their staff and their situations rhino.
It takes two parties to negotiate a contract with each trying to tip the balance in their favour and at the end where it is acceptable to either parties or none.

There's a Datsun that's done 250,000km and there's a Datsun that's done 252,000km.

Then there's a Datsun they forgot to mention was missing the engine.

Pretty damning if true.
Want to back up your statements as per point form given?

Should never have been given three years so readily but hey, Ratten was cracking the whip

Frustrating for the fans, team mates... GUN when fit... not his fault he's made from tissue paper and suffers brain explosions.

HOW DARE WE sign him on mega contracts... for modest returns????????????????????????????????????????????

I'm surprised noone else has posted this yet - was interviewed on MMM on friday night, pre-North game. Indicated he was still 3-4 weeks away.... horses mouth. Did noone else hear this interview? Would not surprise me if the injury is more than simply bruising, and does not return for the rest of the year.

can we not just simply stick a fork in him and send him off into retirement (with a bonus year salary for him)

getting a bit tired of constantly debating about when he is likely to return from injury

feels like Groundhog Day to me (just not as funny)

I think maybe MM thought the same - you get paid way too much from this club for your output and you get suspended for a undisciplined action. We'll take some of that back thank you, Jarrad.
That could be curtains for Waite for this year if 4 weeks is the case (McKay stating back at training, see how he pulls up - though at least 2 weeks). Seems to do another injury after repairing the 1st.

There is a lot of hate for Waite on here.

Has it occurred to anyone that the club might put the porkies out there about injury recovery time? We've been appalling at this for some time.

Waite has been very good for this club. Should play next year and possibly beyond. When on the park his form has been terrific.

His form early in his career, particularly as a defender, was hit and miss. At the age of 25 I would have conceded that he had been a waste. His form has been excellent (but unfortunately not the body) in the second half of his career. Still played some great footy.

I accept that we shouldn't arrange a game plan around him and we will be better served moving Lachie to a permanent forward position. Waite can still be very effective cream as a third tall or even as a roaming wingman where his athletic talent might be very useful.

I'll be surprised if he's walking in 2015 let alone playing.

..will need to rejig the leadership group.. ..beyond the fact he doesnt get on the park enough [for one reason or another], he's not a very good leader on field, and i think even less off it.. ..Doogs is a good leader, but form not good enough to see him play seniors so another that needs the chop from leadership group.. ..possibly an option for some sort of assist. coach/player for the ressie team and shift him off the blues list altogether..

Agree that it is frustrating that he cant get on the park and isnt a leader but vitriol here about him over the top

We do need side to move on from him objectively ie dont build game plan around him but derision about his injuries a bit much and poor form - as someone else says he doesnt go out to get injured
Agree he is undisciplined on the field which he wont get better at now but should
Still regrettably probably our best tall forward - Hendo is closing in fast

Henderson has supassed him easily IMO Frank.
Disciplined, consistent, works up the corridor and takes most of his chances in front of goal. All things Waite doesnt do.
