Look.............

Im angry but proud of the boys.
As usual, i expected them to loose against the Hawks - just as we always do!

HOWEVER......
We stuck it too them fairly well, even with our Captain out.

But bloody hell it hurts to loose a game when those umps screw you over. It's been happening far too often and for far too long now.
I think there was a stat in the HUN a few weeks back saying we were the 2nd worst team for Frees For.

We could have won it.
We missed Murphy.
Always hard when you go one down early in the night.
We aren't tall enough in the backline and if anybody doesn't believe me, look at the goalkickers.

Rowe isn't up to it. He tried hard but he is just not good enough.
I would have put Waite down back in the last quarter. he did SFA up forward tonight.

I tipped Hawks to win by 18.
It's about where we are ATM.

The umpiring was shit but it's always shit so why complain?

Murphy broken jaw? That's more of a concern to me than shit umpiring.

Matthew Kreuzer had a great game in the ruck and if he can keep it up I'll take everything back.

All in all, not a bad game of footy apart from us not getting the four points.

Exactly. I can feel a Dawks v Bummers "game in the sand" coming. We need to go to the Herald Sun and just tell the Geesh to go get flowered....Jeanie can pay the fine.

No it wasn't. Exactly the same, mentally incapable of running out and winning a game when it matters.

Nothing to do with mentally incapable or lack of effort.

All to do with finishing off and composure.

In other words mental.

Nothing to do with mental...its skill.....don't you get it

Yeah, nah.

We had to fight the whole game and were never in control.

The Bombers game should have been in the bag.

Completely different, but looks like another week of "weak" comments.

No it's weak. It happens year after year, every time we play good teams, it's close and respectful. !@#$%& it, we don't have the group to get where we want.

We will lose again against Sydney, in fact you can tip right now how we will go in every game this year from this point forward.

It's time for change.

The effort tonight was the best we've thrown against this mob in a decade.

Go have a rest, the vodka ha obviously worked.

Well, he's right. They set the tone in the first flower minute with the holding the ball against Simmo.
What an absurd display of umpiring. The non free against Hodge when he was tackled by Judd in the second term
was unbelievable and it just got worse and worse.

I feel more pissed tonight than last week.
Eddie is so out of form.I am his biggest fan but when you miss as much football as he has whats wrong with a run
in the VFL to get some touch? I didnt like him slotting straight back in and he has had 2 down weeks.
Boots looked skinny and off the pace.Has a future but wasnt great tonight.I cannot blame him.We are 1 tall defender short.
White had to have a rest after last weeks effort.
Cachia was great.Gibbs a good game.Judd very good. Simmo also very good. The umpire had it in for Curnow but otherwise he was good.

Walker had his worst game of the season. He was well held. Jeffy also off tonight. Jammo falls over a lot.
Lucas is a soft spud.He S*** himself in the 3rd that resulted in a goal to them.He is our momentum swinger.
Have them all the momentum last week as well.

We lost, yes lost, yes again we lost against Hawthorn and a top 4 side when the game was there to be won.

I no longer care about reputations, it's about who can take us to the next level. This group cannot,

Bloody commentators again with the opposition hard bad nights not that carlton didn't let them.

It's an insult that they advertise that it's not carlton played better its that the opponent didn't play to their best.

One too many talls in the end. Worked well early though.
Casboult terrible after the first quarter. Man down.

We look awesome until we fatigue. You can see it happening.......... you see us going flat chat early and know we are not getting it on the board. Then late in the third you see our backmen starting to trail their HFF and then the game breaks open.

Is our gameplan too taxing and inefficient? If it is not that then we need to get fitter or come up with a better formula with position rotations.

Passing to their trainers twice didn't help.

We were very unlucky from halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Worst umpiring I have ever seen in watching 30 years of football.

Still we were in it until poor skills in last quarter cost us the game.

We are carrying players which lack the poise and coolness under pressure to win deep in September

With Sydney coming up..........

Sugar was very good tonight. Added plenty when he came on, and can't recall a turnover ? Never be Mick Conlan but very handy. How the hell wasn't Walker paid a free when that guy sat on his back ??? WTF....it was worse than the one that wasn't paid to Garlett to win it v the Aints !!!

The Carlton tragedy of 2013 rolls on.......

Watch again. Half way through the 3rd term.Shit himself inside forward 50.Led to a goal for them at the other end.
I will never rate him.I have seen enough and im with the sailor man on this one......

that was disgraceful umpiring, cost us the game

loved the effort

we have a loser mentality and it shows, not enough composure

should have won with the amount of possession that we had

kudos to Robbo, his effort with a bung shoulder was magnificent

he may not be our captain but Judd is still our spiritual leader, people on this site who bag him have not got a clue, will end up being a Carlton great

there was one patch, where kreuz was in the middle..he laid 3 tackles i think, in about 10seconds..heturned, he spun, he crawled on his knees. didn't get a free..of course.
it was a brilliant bit of play.
in fact, the whole team showed what they could be for a fair bit of time tonite.
