Sticks said last night that Waite was running Monday through to Wednesday this week and pulled up very well. As such if no new issues he should be back soon (famous last words I know, but I am looking for the positives).

You can bet your bottom dollar that Malthouse will not allow dumb decisions while he is head coach...

How we buckled and gave Waite a 3 year contract I will never ever know!!

Unless you think Waite would have been de-listed at the end of this season if not for the contract, then I don't really see what difference it makes whether he got a 3 year contract or 1-1-1 or 2-1 contracts.

Perhaps what we are paying him, or are forced to pay him due to his contract when opportunities present themselves to recruit players that won't come cheap.....

He should have been on a one year contract and if he couldn't make a significant contribution this year the we should have put ourselves in a position to cut him loose at the end of it. He ties up a lot of cap space and when he does make it onto the park he interrupts any development we're getting into our future forwards by chopping and changing their roles in order to accommodate him.

I love watching him play when he's up but it just doesn't happen often enough for it to justify the cost.

What's a sad situation has turned into a stupid one due to poor contract management.

I'm not sure anyone's development has really been hindered because of the games Waite has played.

We're not getting value for money, I accept that, but the value of his contract is a different issue to its duration. I couldn't see us cutting him at the end of this season either way.

We should of had the guts to trade him years ago. He currently is our Shane Watson.

Nothin like Shane Watson!

He bleeds for the club and would do anything to play in it. He is not a self centred cry baby who sits around feeling sorry for himself and then claims that he warrants a spot in the team b/c he believes he's worked his butt off.

Am open to all discussion about his form, contract and worth to the club but don't think he could be compared to Watson.
