I'm not sure why any of us think we know who would be a good captain. Who here thought Maxwell or Harley would make great captains before they were appointed by their respective clubs?

For all we know, there's a maxwell somewhere in our group.

Great point. Speculation from an outsiders point is all good and well but this really is an insider decision.

Chris Judd set to stand down as Carlton captain

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-ne ... 6527042327

Quote:
After five years at the helm of the Blues, and heading into the final year of his contract, Judd has indicated he is ready to relinquish the post.

It is believed Judd has grown weary of some of the captaincy responsibilities and public glare.

A formal decision on the post has not been made, but some Carlton figures are anticipating a leadership change and are sympathetic towards Judd's personal position.

Poor Juddy, it must be hard handling those responsibilities when you're only getting a 7 figure salary in return.

Anyway, thanks for your work so far and great to see one of our leaders can hand over the baton to help establish a new era.

Murph is the man IMO.

Probably Murphy but I'd really like to see Carrots get it.

Would thrive on it.

For the love of all things holy, please, do not go down the path of co-captaincy.

In memory of Bryce I think it should be Daniel Menzel.

agreed, but I can't imagine it being Simmo.

I'm thinking Murph, Carrots, or maybe Jammo.
