I take it you miss me? :P

We could have nicked Saad onto the rookie list after a pre-season with us had we left a spot open at the end of 2010. Would have been well worth the cost (Twomey IMO).

Drop Thornton? Tuohy, Lucas, Duigan all more in line for omission after today IMO.

I'd consider dropping Joseph and Russell in lieu of Duigan and Thornton respectively.

Ellard did a pretty good job on ward today restricted him to 18 and picked up 14 himself with 10 tackles

Think he will stay in that carrots role until he returns

In Judd Waite Yarren
Out Bootsma Bower + one other flip a coin

What was Tuohy's issue? Lucas made at most a couple of mistakes.

Went and saw St Kilda last night. Based on last night, don't think they'd worry us at all. Based on today, I'm not so sure.

Their spread from the midfield was very slow, bordering on non-existent. Hawks got towelled up by Sydney in this regard two weeks ago, and hammered the Saints here.

Was interesting to note that whilst they tried to isolate Goddard and Fisher one out in the square, the more they pushed up the ground, the more it worked in Hawthorn's favour, so many times did Rioli, Osborne and Whitecross just waltz in to open space, with turnovers from poor kicking seen far too often. They really lack a Nicky Winmar type, someone who can break lines, and hurt teams on the rebound. They looked slow and shit by foot.

Have a funny feeling that we may see Milne dropped this week. Just doesn't seem to fit into Watters' game plan. He's been subbed off (I think) twice already this year, form well down, and been surplus to needs with Milera, Steven rotating through there and now Saad doing well. Looked at sea last night, chasing kicks high up the ground.

Koschitzke looked great last night. Marked everything in sight, he troubled us last year a bit. Hendo or Jamo? Tough call.

I'll watch today's game before making any comments re selection

Based on Ratts' comments that a few didn't do enough to cement a spot. They weren't terrible, but they weren't that good either. You could add Ellard, Joseph to that list but one of those will stay in by default until Carrots comes back.

We will be up for this one and smash them with pace. A good running side should be selected. Jamo and Hendo will handle their talls and the rest will come down to our winning clearances and our spread that will be back big time.

When was the last time he played 2 decent games in a row? Not since about 2003 I suspect.

Around that time when Riewoldt went out, around 2006....he had about 4 BOG's in a row from memory, prompting us to basically offer the club for him (4 years at 7 figures per year approx from memory)...then Riewoldt came back in, and went back to how we all remember him..

Bullet dodged really..

the real question that needs answering is which of hawthorns superstar key backman picked him up? seemed to mark it uncontested a few times last night ...

i might be wrong but i dont think jamo or henderson are going let kosi have it so easy

Kills me to say it because he's one of my favourites, and it won't happen anyway but maybe Jeffy G should be dropped to the VFL for a week.

He is playing lazy football right now and taking shortcuts. Would rather kick the ball off the ground than bend over and pick it up and what has happened to the defensive pressure he was so good at putting on last year...2 tackles today. Not good enough.

His goal output shouldnt be the reason he plays or not as this is not indicative of effort and want, its the chasing, tackling, smothering that is. Can't remember a 4 quarter game he has played this year.

Has been an automatic starter for too long, needs to start earning games on merit again. Bit of a frontrunner for mine.

Not at all. Waite is coming back in. A tall has to go out. Won't be Hendo or Jamo, and Bower was too good to drop this week.

RE: Jeffy
What about his 40m sprint to lay a shepherd for Scotty in the 1st?
