You can come sit with me in the captains club seats boys (level 2)

Only a few more dollars.

I think Carlton are upping their prices to align more with collingwood. Collingwood members pay a hell of a lot more than us for the equivalent of Captains club. My mate pays $800 with a student concession at the Pies.

You might want to ask your mate to double-check that $800 concession figure at the pies. Perhaps he ticked the wrong box.

Well their legends tickets are $840, so concession is probably that far off at $600 mark.

Sorry my figures were a bit out, but my point still stands. Captains club pay a lot less than Pies members for the same seats.

2012 membership site is open for business!!

What do we think of it people?

Do we like it?

Is it easy to navigate?

Do we like how it looks?

Is it too complicated?

Are we liking the packages offered?

I personally dont like the way they keep the price a secret til the very last stage of purchase?!!!!!

Opinions please TC'ers

Its not secret. You can find the prices at the following
- choosing to see full details of any of the membership packages (links from either the home page or the membership packages page)
- 2012 membership brochure link at the top of the page

Its only if you use the questionnaire thingy that you dont really get pricing.

I like it overall - significantly more professional + easy to navigate when compared to the past couple of years and when compared to the AFL website

Atm I'm considering upgrading from 18game silver that I've had in previous yrs to either captains club reserved or switching to AFL club support + one of the reserved seat packages so have been trying to navigate both sites

My main concern atm is the question of whether I should look at getting reserved seats for away matches. It would appear that reserved seats for away matches at the G are in a relatively crap location? (ie level 4/southern stand pocket).

For the club captains reserve, lvl 2/3 its $61 difference b/n 11 & 17 game reserved seat packages (ie not too bad, just seats in a bad location).

However, for an AFL upgrade though, its a $178 difference between having an 11 game -> 17 game upgrade? <- do these guys still sit on lvl 4?

If so, why wouldnt you just reserve a seat via the ticketing agency @ $10/pop as needed then? Of our melbourne away matches, I would think that only 3 matches would have sufficient crowd to be fully ticketed.
richmond @ G <- walk up
Saints @ etihad <- reserved seats
Pies @ G <- reserved seats
North @ Etihad <- walk up
Dogs @ Etihad <- walk up
Dons @ G <- reserved seats

I'm currently leaning towards AFL + captains club 11 game lvl 2/3 upgrade as the best option. In case I've missed anything, ss there any reason that I should consider a club captains club 17 game package instead?

I'm interested to know why people like me who have previously had automatic renewals via direct debit haven't been contacted to renew with monthly payments via CC. I got the letter recently saying the club could no longer do bank account DDs - which sucks hairy ballsack, by the way - but nothing since.

I have 5 memberships to renew. Don't they want us?

yo 4th we're in exactly the same position here, I also cant decide between the 17 game Captains Club Reserved H&A level 1 or 3 (because in case you didn't know already ALL level 2 SEATS ARE F**KEN ALREADY GONE to those who have the automatic m/ship renewals.) and I pretty much dont want to sit anywhere except level 2 but I contacted the club yesterday and they said the best they can do is put us on a friggin waiting list! so.....

If I had to compromise I'd be happy with level 1 seats but as long as theyre somewhere up in the back rows preferably, where it's raised enough to get a much better view of the far sides of the ground, as opposed to the front 10 rows where you'e basically just watching from ground level. but do u know if you can choose which row, it seemed to me when i got to the ticketmaster purchase stage that there was no way of knowing where the seats were going to be exactly (im talking about which rows not sections)
Plus throw in the fact Im an AFL member aswell anyway, now Im thinking why wouldnt I just get AFL +Captains Club 11 Home reserved level 1 (my old man cant see squat from the 3rd level so its his call on the insistence on being level 2) but he'll settle for a decent row seat on level 1, and like you now i need convincing as to why i should get the 17 game H&A reserved or to just not worry about the 7 away reserved seats because, as you pointed out, 4 of them will be a walk.

?? can you make up my mind for me?

Goltz how did you get Level 2?
Does your m/ship package and seat auto-renew from what you had last year?
Is that how it works?
Because Level 2 was completely filled already this morning by the time the website went live

Yeah Carlton just autorenew you and sent a letter out saying they are going to start direct debiting your account if you haven't told them otherwise.
So basically everyone that had a reserved seat this year, should retain that seat unless they don't continue their membership or move to another section. So as people move or don't continue their reserved seat membership, spots free up.

Just contact carlton membership and say you want a level 2 seat at MCG with bay section or location you want to sit and if spots free up you will get a seat on level 2. There should be quite a few spots free as some people might not pay the extra cash for Captains club.

Do we need to wait for our renewal letters first? Do you need a password to log onto site. I think I used it last year.

AFL Full Member with Club support - I don't really care how much Carlton get directly. At the end of the day they get a crap load from the AFL anyway so in my view regardless of whether it goes to a direct Blues membership or AFL with club support it'll hardly send them insolvent.

As a full member I'm guaranteed a GF seat particularly if the Blues make it, and I love being able to go to any game during the year which I can't do with Carlton.

I probably chip in a Blues membership's worth of cash anyway. I went in for 2 $200 raffles this year (I think it was $200) and regardless I don't think the size of cash you tip in equates to the size of genitalia so seriously who cares.

But I think those who are being asked to step up to a new level of membership at extra cost for the same entitlements as previous years have a valid point to complain.

im with you sven vath. the fact that I have no chance of getting a level 2 seat, even by paying the highest most expensive level of m/ship (because if you think Im going on a waiting list for god knows how long then think again). so while I had my heart set on dropping the AFL membership altogether next year and getting the JuddClub 17 game H&A
