We could tank this week to give Freo a shot at knocking out the Scum...but then you have to rely on Freo winning in Melbourne!

How about we try to win every game we play and let the rest take care of itself.

TBB why change, don't you know where the "tankers" and don't play for wins but for draft picks & now pick of finals game - that's our supporters mentality now.

Exactly. We have 3 tough games and we could quite conceivably lose all of them.

I'd rather finish 6th, not 5th. At least we would play in melbourne if we win week 1. I would tank to the saints r24 if we know it's impossible to make 4th. (as long as we dont finsh 7th if we lose too). But screw all this, we're going to finish 3rd, the hawks and eagles will drop a game somewhere. Beat the cats week 1, pump eagles in the prelim and beat the pies by 1 point in the Grand Final. Done and dusted.

Dreaming. Any chance we had went out the door when Freo hit the post and Razor Ray decided to change a game yet again.

Playing the Scum who will have all their talls back, plus Watson & Hocking to nullify us in the midfield spells HUGE danger. Bomber will actually be going to work now with the master plan. Lock this final in....there is no way anything else is gonna happen.

So hard to beleive we could win 16.5 games and miss the top 4. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

We will smash the dons.

They will be worn out from trying to make the finals and having to be switched on every week for the next 5.

We have got 5 weeks to prepare ourselves for them.

Bring em on.

If Pears and Hooker are available for the final they wouldn't be close to 100% fit due to a lack of match fitness.
It sounds like they are both a couple of weeks away and remember Essendon* have the bye Rd 24.
Since we played them their midfield stocks have been further weakened with injuries to Prismall and Colyer as well.
With Waite, Jamison and Russell back in the side let them worry about us.

Mil, the season was lost when we dropped the WC & Doggies games. We knew teams had better draws than us and we knew that we couldn't afford to drop games that we where expected to win, yet we were not prepared and have paid the price.

I will be very surprised if we win all our remaining games

It is an unusual year and nobody except the drug companies could predict that west coast could go from last to top 4

I sensed Sheedy this morning was a little suspicious

agree with this too (not the drug cheat part) - i reckon we will drop one game from here which will put an end to it. if we are to finish fifth, in some ways i hope it is clear sooner rather than later so we can prepare for it mentally.

i do think we will beat the Hawks however.....

the Essendon* v WC game could be the one.....

Fact - West Coast are one of the largest spenders on their football department in the competition
Fact - West Coast have some of the highest annual revenues in the competition
Fact - West Coast have been kicking around at the bottom of the ladder for 3 years
Fact - West Coast have a team suited to running, attack-minded football that is propelled by a talented forward line and ruck division

West Coast's drug of choice is self-belief. Everything else simply reflects that they've positioned themselves well and work hard on their club at every level. They're probably a bunch of wankers to deal with socially or in any other sense, but they clearly live and breathe football.

That means we play Swans @ Etihad :banghead:

If we earn a home final don't we choose where? i.e. the G

You think if Saints earn a home final they would choose Etihad, problem solved if all 4 finals are in Melbourne.

How is it possible that we play in WA on Saturday then have to play Friday night in Melbourne? The other games in Melbourne that round are Coll/Bris at the G on Saturday, Freo/Norf at Etihad Sat night, and then Melb/Rich at the G on Saturday.
Our game should be at the G on Saturday and Coll/Bris should have Etihad on Friday.

Although I would rather play at the G, just remind yourself the last time we played them at Etihad.

Fact Darling was recruited as 191cm 87kg 18 year old kid
Fact Darling has gone from 87kg to easliy 100kg in less than 8 months with out losing fitness base
Fact - West Coast have had a drug culture before
