I reckon Essendon* are eyeing us up right now for an elimination final and licking their lips.

They will not win after that, but they will be more than happy to knock us off

We are their Bunny, and everyone knows that. We'll get thumped on today's effort too. And just when it looked safe to write them off :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Since Round Eight 2010 Carlton have beaten just one team in the Top Eight (based on end of 2010 and 2011 Eight as of now). Now if that doesn't make us sandpit bullies I don't know what does!

Here's a better one

Playing Richmond is becoming like having the bye - last 5 or 6 teams to have played them have lost the week after!

Given that the Doggies aren't a Top 8 side, I don't think that's particularly relevant.

Just shows that we are just a old fashioned ordinary side with plenty of holes left to fill if we are going to win the Premiership in 2012 or 2013.

Laidler Jamison Duigan
Yarran ? Russell
Simpson Robinson Gibbs
Walker ? Garlett
Betts ? Waite
Keruzer Judd Murphy
Scotland ? ?
?

No CHB,no CHF,and no FF....................and you can top that off with a midfield that doesnt kick enough goals.Considering our deficencies we have done pretty well. You can cover 'em all up to a point, but ya can never hide that CHF spot...........ever !

Win lose or draw you can basically name Carltons best every week before the game is played

Judd , Murphy . Gibbs . Scotland and Robbo - and when Jamo and Waite are fit you can add them as well

Our side has too many good ordinary footballers and when the heat is on they go missing

Betts , Walker , Russell , Simpson . Warnock , Ellard ,Thornton .Houlihan Ohalpin-all been in the system for a while and Only play well when the team plays well and fade out of games to easily when things get tough

we can excuse Garlett , Yazz and Kruezer , Hendo as they are still youngish and form is often up and down and we need at least 20 odd games into duigan and Laidler to fully assess them

what worries me is that 09 draft it is going to bite us on the arse big time in about two years we are going to have one big hole that is currently being filled with the Garlett Yazz and Kruuez when they step up there is nothing coming behind them because the 2010 boys are all big and will take longer to come on

we need to win it this year or next otherwise it will be rebuild no 3 or 4

There comes a time, be it an alcoholic or a drug addict when a problem must be admitted in order to fix it (though us admitting it on the forum will not fix it, and im sure the club is aware of it). The truth is our record against other top 8 opposition since Round 8 2010 is 2 wins, 10 losses and 1 draw.

Now we have improved since last year, but maybe our natural position is more 5th, and our improvement is more incremental as opposed to any kind of breakout.

In the run home we play Collingwood, Essendon*, Fremantle & Hawthorn who are all currently in the 8, if we have improved as much as we like to think we have, we should win 3 of these. I think more realistically we will win 1-2.

Can see us winning two of those....Scum and Freo....we all hope we can win against the Filth and Hawks but won't happen....Filth too good full stop....and the Hawks at Etihad very difficult at the G maybe....
