Austin and McLean sparked a remarkable second half turnaround against Willy on a windy day at Cramer St yesterday.

White was not moving freely against Richmond. Are we bringing players back into the Ones under-done?

No need for radical changes. the only change should be:
In: Duigan
Out: White

Appart from Big Bad Bazza, the Dogs havent got too many forwards that worry me too much, but I'd still keep Hendo in the backline as he's done ok back there the last game and a half..
If we play with the same A game as we did on Saturday, our pressure and run should be too much for the Dogs to handle..

The only changes we need to make this week should be to cover injuries.

We also have to make a decision on Houlihan... needs a full game somewhere.

In Duigan for White

Possibly Curnow for Houlihan???

What happened to the idea that players come back through the Magoos?
Unless you're Chris Judd.

I'm not scared of the Bulldogs......... But I am TERIFIED of Shitihad Stadium.

When we play there, we look sore and tired. I blame that surface for all our injuries.

White out for Dugian is all I'd be doing. Why mess with a 103 point winning team?

Free beer?

Aggravate Hotcox ?

Seriously I was one of the few who argued he should have been given a couple of games in the seniors to show his worth if any. Goes back to the seconds and immediately is one of the best. Better than Bower in a type of head to head.

So to replace White do you bring in a mid being Duigan or a tall being Austin. No idea.

Otherwise, the question needs to be asked is Ellard worth his place in the team over Curnow (if fit)?

Yes I have to admit that White's selection against Richmond was one of the strangest MC decisions in years.
This week, just Duigan in for White I reckon.

" Mitch Robinson Frustrates me.... He is a Wasted Talent... His kicking is Awful, his Decision making is so poor, he can't kick straight for Goal and he is the King of Turn overs.....I just wonder if he is going to pull his head in and get better playing this game...."

Wow, that was a Quote i said about two years a go, all i can say is Well done Mitch, you have taken your game to an Elite level. Robo has skipped one, Two Steps....

He was an ordinary player but instead of turning into a good player, then an excellent player, he has jumped so high that i can not deny he is one of the most important players in our Team, and has gone into an elite level....

I say Elite not because of the 30 Disposals he gets every week, nor because of his improved kicking for goals and his disposals, but simply because of his commitment and work rate... his presence lifts the whole Team and keeps them playing high pressure Football...

so Well done Mitch.... Keep up the Great Form......

This is one week where I would expect a smaller backline because of the small doggies forward line. Henderson, Thornton, Laidler and a Duigan/Russell should be enough, so therefore wouldn't be surprised if the MC included both Aussie & Bower.

White, Curnow and Hendo (the first time round) were all clearly undone when they came back in. When compared to the conservative approach taken to certain other players, it really doesn't make a lot of sense. It has been frustrating to watch because in each case there were other options available.

I reckon we have Geelong's measure but I watched Collingwood rip Hawthorn apart today, and they were scary good. Carlton are good, Collingwood I hate to say it would have to have an off day for us to knock them off in September.

It's possible, but gee the Filth are good at the minute :(

I didn't say we were a shoo-in.
Dawes is out for 4-6 weeks. They have had a good run with injuries. A bit of bad luck and things change quickly. They lose two (one to us) and they are third and we are second. They play Geelong first up, we play Hawthorn. And so it goes.

We CAN win it.

If we finish 2nd and Collingwood finishes 3rd, wouldn't we play THEM first up?

I'd be worrying about Griffen and Higgins before those three...their running cut us open last time we played.

I'd be playing Carrazzo on Griffen and Gibbs on Higgins...they can lock those two down which goes a long way to us winning IMO.

Danger game mainly because the Collingwood one follows.

Duigan for White the likely change.

Prefer to see Setanta and Curnow play Ants and promote next week if they are right to go then.

Houlahan a full game in the 1's.

Would like to see Austin get a few more games before a decision is made on his future, but not sure if this week is the right time.

If there is another player who is sore and would benefit a lot from a week off (ala Robbo last week) then maybe Armfield in as a sub.

I started a thread on this last week, ("Automatics"), but no one was interested.

..they've been playing Higgins off a HBF, if we play Gibbs on/thru him we'll have a match-up in our favour definitely.. ..need to have a designated HBF prepared to float back and block the hole.. ..Snotland would be well suited to this, Duigan moreso if he plays.. ..they played poorly vs melbourne, a few nice patches but the dee's played with a similar level of shiteness as the tiges dished up vs us.. ..if the dee's were switched on they'd have won.. ..dogs aren't much chop and if we play to our best we'll smash them..
