Like the idea of White in. Every game we get into this kid is an investment. He's got the right attitude. Rough around the edges but improves with each game. Isn't afraid to run straight, prefers to run straight. Looks to take players on. Tough, physical, eyes for the ball. Every team is a balance. The Blues need more players like White.

T-Bird up forward and White to take his place in defence. Fisher and Wiggins knocking at the door for a forward role in place of White. Although I
d rather T-Bird as far away from Brown as possible.

How about in the stands?

I wouldn't even let him in the stands ... there are very few at this club that give as much as Simpson does on the field and for T-bird to have a go at him was criminal. I wouldn't let him near the club until he can show half the heart of Simmo.

... and then i'd use him in the Lynch trade.

We need to stop playing as individuals & start to play as a team, help each other out, run harder when you haven't got the ball & stop chasing easy kicks to inflate your stats.

Will Carlos be ready to return by then?

he spoke in the social club pre game on Saturday & indicated that it was hamstring soreness so will just need the 2 weeks.

Can't remember which poster it was (apologies to that person), but I remember someone saying that they wouldn't be surprised if this happened.

Sadly, with Brown's record against us I think he could still be very threatening.

What, even from the sidelines?

What, even from the sidelines?

If he played injured he could still kick some important goals I think.

Voss is an idiot if he rushes him back, clearly the damage is well and truly done after forcing him to play when he'd been injured since round 4.

However, wouldn't be surprise if he lines up and kicks 6

To be quite honest I want him to play.
I don't want us to beat them without him in the team and I have total faith in Bower to cover him.

Armfield Jamo JR
Scotland Bower Lucas
Simmo Gibbs Tex
Yarran Hendo Hoops
Betts Hammer Garlett

Jacobs Judd Murphy

Carlos, Carrots, Ellard, Grigg

In: Carlos, Ellard, Grigg, Hammer, Murphy
Out: Kruezer (inj), Waite (susp), AJ, Hadley, T-Bird

Five changes is more than what's ideal, but I think is necessary.

I've gone with Carlos ahead of Fish & Wiggo because of his ability to play tall at both ends and even in the ruck in a pinch (although I imagine Jacobs sharing the ruck duties with Hammer). If Carlos doesn't come up, T-Bird holds his spot (I'd like to see Austin & White get a bit more form/confidence/fitness in the VFL before bringing them back).

I've gone with Ellard instead of another tall. I just think Ellard gives us another option through the midfield and his form in the VFL should be rewarded. He can win his own ball and has been kicking goals.

Grigg in, just ahead of Robbo, for Hadley.

And, yes, I do believe it's.....HAMMER TIME!! :smoking:

Ive been a critic of AJ just being a stopper and needing to develop a ball winning ability. He's making mistakes but Im enjoying seeing him take them on. Our goals from defence have all but disappeared - perhaps to keep structure (is it like the old days) - but Bower, AJ, Armfield, Russell and Jamison have kicked what.... 1 between them all year?

We cant have all of our defence being 10 stat averagers (Jamison, AJ, Armfield) and we cant have the only run and delivery from our defence as through Gibbs and Russell, as its too easy to tag for oppositions (see Hawthorn match where they squashed those 2). AJ and Army are extremely important and need to be given some time to keep learning than and driving run from defence.

AFL injury list for split round 13:

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/a ... 5882935410

Murphy and O'Hailpin not listed - so we can assume they are OK for the Brisbane match or is the club foxing again?

Brown listed as 4 weeks.....hmmm.

I reckon Lucas can give us some of that ball winning and run from defence.

It's a real shame that ROK wasn't able to stay on the park. I would have enjoyed seeing him get a go in the second half of the year...

I think AJ's sidestep to the left is what is catching him out, it's become too obvious, even a blind man could pick his move when a oncoming tackler approachers.

Well he's got that wrong then. I'm pretty sure it should be a jump to the left
and then a step to the right.

For me:

In: Setanta, Hammer, Murphy, Robinson
Out: Kruezer (inj), Waite (susp), AJ, Hadley

AJ needs a rest IMO. Plenty of upside with Joseph and will be a good player for us but is still young and I think he is getting tired or may even be carrying a niggle or two.

Hads looks like a player who has had a couple of ACL's. It's sad but the pace of the modern game has passed him by. He may be over the knee's now but very rarely will a player succumb to 2 ACL's and come back as good as they were before.

Murph to slot straight back into the middle and its time now for Robbo to step up and take more of a leading role in the middle. He's our only tough nut and we need his presence around the contest.

Hammer to finally show us all that he is ready to become a consistent senior player.

Setanta to play more up the ground at CHF and Hendo at FF.

J Brown most likely will not play which will help. The week off will do us the world of good and at Etihad we should account for the Lions easily.....

I was going to post the same.

We need to know Bower can play on these guys. The confidence will do him the world of good and besides that with Bowers run we can exploit Brown, especially if he's not 100%
