Browne has been named in the squad. Is he one of the late ommissions?

Sorry Rexy, I was talking about Bluebeards team with Browne as an emergency.

Maybe Browne will be a runner?

Forward line function and scoring power will be the key. It will also really irritate me that they will keep harping on about our departed forward.

Lets hope we score goals freely then they can shut the *uck up.

We must be trying to win this game. Strong line up from who is available.

We will win by 28pts.

From reading reports of the intraclub and summer training it seems like Fisher has been picked on merit.

I have as many doubts on Fish as a lot of others around here. But equally, he has been a good clubman, he is in the leadership group, he has reportedly worked on a lot of his deficiencies over summer, and he has every right to be picked according to form going into the NAB Cup. Good luck to him I say... and I hope he proves a lot of us doubters wrong!

What intraclub reports were you reading??

5 minutes of that game and you knew it was same old Fish. He's brought nothing new to the mix. Fish shouldn't have been picked; he got miles in the legs last week and there are better candidates waiting in the wings.

Can the club present an injury list, because there are some young names that have missed out for no apparent reason. Ellard is a borderline selection; we've loaded up on forward options and older fringe midfielders without a thought to rotating our backmen...

Poorly selected squad if we wanted to manage individual workloads.

Passionate, but a bit harsh.

I'm sure that there's workload managers for all players. They manage on a micro level.
I know they are capable, and they know what they are doing.
Our players are in good hands. Thank god for that: another legacy of the late Sir Richard Pratt.
He got us Cordy. Enough said.

Good squad.

I'm not big on Fisher. Wiggins, Johnson etc, but Fisher has been surprisingly received some positive posts from training and praccy sessions in various forums. Surprised the shit out of me, because I can tell you his January was very ordinary.

I agree with Molly's viewpoint.

Would have liked to have seen Levi in the side but I guess you have to play senior players before rookies.

Agree. Judd needs some decent match practice to be ready for R4

Would of loved Casboult and OKeefe in and possibly Donaldson too but as long as we see some new faces i can handle it, unlike the magpies who named there strongest team pretty much.

The injury list on CFC website does not list Armfield as injured yet he is not selected and did not play in the Intra club practice match.

Any reason for missing either??

Bigfooty states:

- Armfield has injured his hanstring. Nothing to serious, but wont play this week.

But geat squad if we want to experiment with our forward options post-Fevola. If we need to prove a new forward gameplan, we have to give ourselves the biggest base to work with in the next few weeks. Ratts doesn't care if we win or lose, only that we have a forward structure in place by Rd 1 IMO.
