I think he is 22 red. 24 looks a little like Tom Hawkins. Gibbs turned it on in the 3rd

Levi looks like Tom Hawkins  :donk:

Glad we worked it out then!

Judd plenty of it but scratchy
Hads and Brock excellent, in and under all avo
Walks good, heaps of it and good kicking
Carrots heaps of it but shocking kicking
206 got more of the ball around the ground than Yazz, who was atrocious early before being moved to HB in an obvious kick up the bum
Mitch good, took mark of the year for real
Kruez looked a million bucks and by a mile our best big man but was hardly seen after 1/4 time - hope he is isnt hurt
Houla, Garlett fairly quiet
Betts a bit better without starring
T-Bird OK but quiet, maybe not on the ground much
Bowre provided some drive off HB
Jamo neat and tidy at FB
Scotto very good
Fish presented more than any other fwd but didn't take a lot of marks and capitalise
Sauce OK
Hammer looked OK up fwd
Hendo pretty quiet IMO
JR did OK, didn't dominate though - but every bit a polished player now
Gibbs pretty good, grown his hair - looks like when he was drafted playing for SA
Ando pretty good off HB, tough and got a bit of it
Grigg very good in midfield
Browne got a bit of it but not a great kick
Didn't notice Santy that much but did a few nice things I spose
Lucas OK but a few poor kicks
Casboult took 2 nice marks, has nice hands so might be a player
Wiggins, Murphy, Waite, Army, Simmo, Johnson all didn't play

I went to it and liked number 21 in the yellow. Did well in front of goals. Who was it?

Thanks for the reports one and all, much appreciated. Look forward to other reports for those that will be so kind.

Any info on Kruez? I’m a tad worried, hopefully just a little niggle…

Yes 12 in yellow no idea who it was but he looked very good up fwd, better than hendo to be honest
AJ did OK, so quick - Ratts should use his pace more
Levi took one ripper mark, certainly has good hands - Qn will be is he too slow?? All baby fat though so he will grow into his body over the coming years and mature
Mitch was one of the big upsides, certainly looked top 22 for mine - put it this way, if you were picking the 22 based on today, Mitch is 100 miles ahead of Yazz for a spot on the HFF - Yazz didn't attack the ball with ny hunger whatsoever and at one stage totally duck his head when he should have taken a mark, very poor effort

Levi, Hammer and Hendo showed some nice glimpses as tall forwards.
Garlett showed some nice zip and class at times.
Yarran was quiet, but composed when he had it.
Browne seemed to get a shitload of the ball.
Warnock has a big tank to go with that big body.. rucking was average though... beaten by Jacobs easily at times.
Hadley and McLean were great.
Lucas got a fair bit of the ball.
Judds skills were shithouse.
Walker was great. Uses his pace so well, and his skills were on today.
21 for yellow (was told he's a bullant) was awesome out of the goal square.

I am a bit owrried bec he wasn't even on the bench after 1/2 time - but maybe they decided they ahd seen enough and he is our best big man by a mile and so he can have an early shower ???

Just got back from the intra club and would like to elaborate on the following players:

Scotland - Superb. B.O.G along with Judd. Won plenty of it, used it extremely well and looks fitter than ever. Very underrated.

Warnock - Very impressive. Has good skills and is quite agile. He did better than I expected and he will be super important for us this season.

Grigg - The guy can play, he just needs to be played in the right position. Showed lots of class today and another who looks very fit. Kicked the first goal and then added another in the 3rd.

Judd - Infallible

Yarran - Did nothing for 3 qtrs, was then moved to half back in the last quarter at reminded me of McLeod. He bolted out of defence and then speared a 40 m pinpoint pass on his left without breaking stride. Amazing. Just needs to lift his work rate but has HEAPS of potential. Maybe half back is his position.

Hampson - Hello to our new X-factor. He was used up forward and kicked 3 (I think). Very good hands and great acceleration, just needs to improve his kicking.

McLean - Good signs. Had a solid match, won plenty of it but is VERY slow. He is just so strong though and provides the perfect support for Judd, Murphy and Gibbs. Great pickup.

Lucas - Reads the play very well. Looks to be a natural footballer, just needs to work on his kicking. Don't think he will play many games this year but will be a very good player, I'm sure of it.

Walker - Fantastic game. Kicked a lovely goal on the run and used the ball very well. He will be there Round 1.

Gibbs - It took me ages to recognise him. Was it just me or does he look a lot skinnier, particularly in the legs? Took a while to get into it but had leather poisoning in the 3rd quarter.

Henderson - Pretty quiet. Kept getting him confused with no.21 in yellow who showed lots of good signs.

Absentees were Simpson, Cachia, Waite, Austin, Murphy and Armfield. I'm sure there were more too.

A bloke in front of us said it was Ashley Arrowsmith who was delisted by the Eagles.

Reports on 7 and 10 news had Judd and Warnock starring......206 did look great on the grabs they showed.

Thought Warnock was very good - could be excused for just getting through the game unscathed but did more than that...involved in ground level play after the ruck contest...took a ripper mark where he crunched Scooter. Good skills and agility and palmed the ball fairly well. Got plenty of ruck time against mainly Jacobs as Hampson was at FF and as VB said Kreuzer wasn't sighted after qtr time.

Henderson didn't do a lot but probably needed a run after his knee niggle. Presented well from CHF and will only get better.

Yarran didn't do a lot but it's only an intra club. JR didn't do much either...poor turnover in the first half but looked to be taking it easy.

Scooter got a shitload of it playing fairly loose across HB. Carrots also a lot of it but as VB mentioned had some shocking kicks thrown in. One instance could have given it to the captain who would've run into goal but decided to have a shot himself and missed it.

Captain took it fairly easy, kicking a little bit off but nothing that bad.

Casboult very impressive....excellent hands and knows where to run. Just needs to get fitter and stronger.

Gibbs looks as though he's slimmed down a little bit but was still controlling the middle of the ground.

Brock got better as the game went on, nothing spectacular but makes the right decisions and disposal was quite good.

Arrived half way through the first quarter and must admit I struggled to recognise quite a few of the players. It looked like we are focussing on creating the opportunity for running goals and it was a pretty free-flowing game which I thought was quite entertaining to watch. As to individual observations:

Warnock - I thought he looked rusty early, but he seemed to warm to the task and was much better around the ground in the second half. Rucked most of the game, so he appears to have the fitness.
McLean - really encouraging. Got a lot of it and used it well by hand and foot. Seems to have settled in very well. Gave away a couple of 50's in the third quarter. Great to see him do the grunt work and to extract for Judd on more than one occaission. Never going to be the quickest bloke at the club, but knows where he has to be and ran out the game well.
Yarran - interesting to say the least. Dropped a couple of sitters but also managed several magic passes and little touches that he made look so easy. A couple of those Diesel-esque floating helicopter punts that looked weird off the boot and then magically hit a man on the chest who was in space.
Walker - some great run and good disposal. Shoulders looked to be pretty well strapped but did not appear to restrict him. Fingers crossed AW.
Carrots - as others said - got a bit of it but some horrible disposal.
Henderson - I thought he was quiet - Jamo clearly had his number in the final quarter and provided some good run for red out of the backline.
Gibbs - seemed quiet in the first half but I thought was just about BOG in the premiership quarter when he played through the corridor with some terrific disposal and decision making.
Kreuz - very good early. It will be a conundrum about where we play him if Warnock comes on - Kreuz is just so valuable when he is on-ball. Maybe he will end up with a Kouta type role.
Robbo - great speccy and had a lively game with plenty of time on the ball - very encouraging.
Scotland - seemed pretty quiet but managed a nice running goal.
Hampster - created some great options up forward with a couple of handy grabs.
Jacobs - quite impressed again with Sauce - some of his ruck contests were really encouraging and his work around the ground is improving. Late in the final quarter he was a link man with sure hands and disposal in defence as red ran down the clock.
Casboult - great set of hands and he is a big kid for 18 or 19.

Plenty to look forward to for next weeks game against the ducks.
