What a ridiculous argument to use the 2006 draft to knock the drafting of KPP drafting.

1. These guys( KPP's) take longer to develop. Surely that's indisputable.
2. Why not compare the 2004 draft. Roughead/Franklin vs Deledio/Tambling

You can't pick isolated instances to support your argument.

I was making the point that everyone assumes Talia is going to be a gun CHF/CHB, but he went at pick #13 in a weak draft! Look at the guys who got drafted in "superdraft" of 2006... how many of them would you pencil in a 10 yeah CHF/CHB's?

Almost all of the KP players drafted in 2006 were considered potential superstars! yet even they are struggling. Talia hasn't received a TENTH of the hype that Thorp, Sellar, Gumbleton and Hansen did going into the 2006 draft... and he is apparently the 2nd best tall!

Of course they do, but out of the 2006 KP's, how many would you consider to be developing well?

Thorp?
Gumbleton?
Hanson?
Sellar?
Ried?

Gumbleton is the only one who's lack of development is justifiable, but even still, would you want him given his run with injuries?

Mate im not anti KP... of course any team would love a Franklin or Roughhead, but how often do they come along?

Fev's gone.... We drafted the best available kids... FFS get over it and move on.

Is Talia as good as Roughead and Franklin?

If so...it's Richmonesque.
If not, and we picked the best available

Richmond obviously F'd up with their assessment of the draft that year.

People bag WH for picking Russell and that he was a bad pick without looking at who was drafted that year after Buddy.

6 Western Bulldogs Tom Williams
7 Hawthorn Jordan Lewis
8 Adelaide John Meesen
9 Carlton Jordan Russell
10 Collingwood Christopher Egan
11 Port Adelaide Adam Thomson
12 Richmond Danny Meyer
13 Melbourne Matthew Bate
14 Essendon* Angus Monfries
15 Melbourne Lynden Dunn
16 Richmond Adam Pattison
17 St Kilda Andrew McQualter
18 Brisbane Cameron Wood
19 Port Adelaide Ryan Willits

Now can people stop bagging WH for picking Russell :thanks:
