Pro:

We meet North next week, and after the embarrassing display last weekend, there has to be some sort of turnaround. Combine that with North going into semi-tank/semi-crap mode, and we should be able to take this match forcefully and easily.

PRO's:-

None.

CON's:-

The whole bloody game. Piss-Weak and disgusting.

Chris Johnson
I hope he NEVER plays again.

Heath ScotlandTerrible. Would consider dropping him. Only looks good on paper cause he had so many cheap uncontested possesions.

Andrew Carrazzo
Cost us 3 goals! Did he put money on Collingwood or something?

Matthew Lappin as a Forward Coach
Hmmm???? Seriously questioning this. We have had no Forward Line structure all year.

Kick Outs
:banghead: Why have we not worked on this all year. I honestly think i saw certain Collingwood players laughing and smiling at some of our kick outs. They knew exactly where we were gonna go and they had players there waiting.

Sorry for being a little tardy, but I just got back from the game... (Yes, it takes several days when you live in denmark) and thought that I would add my two-bob's worth. I happened to watch the game from near on center-wing/square from the top deck of the old Northern Stand (MCC), which gives a pretty good view of set plays.

Pros:
* Got to see the game.
* Kruezer - Was definitely Carlton's best player with daylight second
* Our inexperienced and under-rated backline. Given the lack of midfield pressure Collingwood had for most of the night, these guys did a great job. The wheels fell off a bit in the last, but at one point in the third we were only 18 points down.
* Fev's mark in the first, goal in the last shows just how good the man was. I expected him to do his nut with the amount of poor passing he had coming his way all night, but to his credit he toughed it out.
* AJ - Is there no one this boy can not stop. His dash and willingness to back himself will make him a champion player with the passage of time, although he still slips under most teams' radars. So it might be different when he starts to get some attention the other way.
* Our aboriginal boys. Bett's looked dangerous all night and yarran could be anything - the boy just seems to have oodles of time.

Cons:
* Our midfield. They were all so very poor on Friday night. Players that usually are exceptional seemed to be off. Judd tried his arse off but could not do it alone and even some of his disposals were poor. I thought that Gibbs had a terrible night, but on the replay it did not look quite as bad. He is really having a quiet second half of the year at the moment. He just has lost a bit of touch. Murphy was also missing targets. High floating delivery to a double teamed fev is never going to work. If that has been the instruction then it is a coaching matter, if it is the players decision making then he needs to be coached around this. I have seen two games this year live (the other was against Richmond) and we have to be one of the worst kicking sides in the league. All the other "no-name" mids just do not seem up to it when our stars are not firing. Not one of the showed any passion.
* Our half forward line. Do we have one? My God we seem so one dimensional. I still could not tell you who played on the half forward flanks and I am not sure they could either. The amount of time that I saw Carlton players at the center bounce with no idea who their direct opponent was, was incredible.
* The game plan - We went one on one with Collingwood in the first quarter and got smashed. I would have preferred to see us just try to take them on the entire game, rather than panic when they get a few goals up and then throw players back behind the ball. What is it with kicking across the ground in a direct line. In most cases it gives the opposition side a chance to flood the forward line or at least drop one player in front of our eventual target in Fev. In most cases it causes a turn over and the ball just sales back over the heads of the four or five player who have left their men in order to get the space to be the link men in the line. The amount of times i saw four or five Carlton players standing in a line across the ground numbered at least 20 (I think I counted 12, but it took me awhile to become aware of what we were doing). Of course we look second rate as we end up chasing guys with a 10-15 meters break. The result is that they have more time to dispose of the ball correctly and give their forwards a better ride.
