..it's more than that, with waite and bower injured he helps us maintain structure while also helping Thorny work as the 3rd man up/floating defender role which he does well.. ..an early game brain-snap, but it seems that's what many of our tall defenders indulge in from time to time, so maybe that shows he's coming along, hehe..

..i've always liked Carrots, he definately deserves to be a part of our midfield rotations.. ..and with Harvs on board he can master the 30m kick-pass.. ..two late goals [like Murphos has improved goal kicking on last year] and his hard gut running helped us enormously..

Carrots second goal in the last qtr was a beauty.

Not much of a run up and BANG thru the middle.

Bottom six is nowhere near the level needed.

I thought and still do think the Saints and Cats have some mediocre personnel, but their coaches get the best out of them, so really it is Ratten's task to use the bottom 6 in a way that they actually provide value to the team

I don't think he has done that yet

Good footballer this guy, the odd brain fade can only be put down to inexperience.

Is he in trouble with that report? With no Bower, Carlos now our CHF, don't want to rely on Harts back there.

Pros:

- JUDD: How good is this guy? Without him we arent much better than Richmond
- Gibbs played his best game for ages
- Carrots was very handy
- Carlos the unlikely hero up front, he is better than Cloke and should definitely stay on our list. Loved his passion at the start when nobody else had turned up yet
- Fev's attitude improved this week, nice mark and goal at the start of the last
- Dominated the opposition after the first half of the first quarter, just needed to convert better!
- Russell played a good game, he started our revival, butchered the ball a couple of times but I was happy with his game. Maybe its the hair?
- We won, it was a massive win in terms of our season and finals hopes
- Sitting 7th on the ladder with a healthy % at round 14, we havent been in this position for years

Cons:

- Bentley, just not upto it
- Armfield, his disposal was poor again, needs some time away from the seniors to improve his kicking
- Austin's indiscipline, seriously are we the dumbest team in the comp? Did we not learn from the 2 Essendon* encounters not to get sucked in by the opposition?
- Very poor start which saw players liek Mcpharlin and Bradley have a field day (why do hacks always fire up against carlton?)
- Innaccuracy almost cost us the game
- Lucky we played Freo, I always maintained we would come back and win even when 34 points down. We cant give a 6 goal head start anymore if we are serious finals contenders.
- Poor decision making and disposal again, overall inconsistency of the side must be fixed

Just an aside: McPharlin is not a hack
