wtf are you on about, indie?

you've really dropped the ball during this whole thing. the meaning of jake's post was clear for all to see.

i really have no idea why you have issues with it.

You're entitled to your view Sean, but I don't share it. But I agree with Mrs Caz ... time to move on.

I remember at the time being thrilled we got Hampson because I knew he was a real bolter and was rated very, very, very highly but just about every club and that the Pies seriously considered taking him in the top 10. when a real promising ruck becomes available, you have to take him especially when your ruck stocks are as ordinary as ours.

Some of you really need to think more long-term. In Nov 2006 did you think we could be contenders in 2-3 years? Probably not, hence the time was ripe to use pick 17 on Hampson.

I always do, Sean. I don't carry grudges from one thread to another. No doubt in some threads I'll be agreeing with you and with Jake in others and we'll disagree on occasions too. No biggie from my point of view.

People have been pretty critical of Hughes, and some have been arguing that he should be dismissed. However in relation to pick 17 in the 2006 National Draft, I think he got it spot on. Everyone was bemused when he didn't pick Jetta, but tonight, Hampson showed why he deserved to be taken where we took him. Looked to h ave a great leap, good hands, could palm the ball to advantage, looks like the Kreuzer/Hampson ruck combination will be one of the most feared and talented in the AFL. Considering he has only been playing the game for two years, he is going to be an absolute star in my opinion.

Hughesy, you got this one right. Well Done!

He looked good and hopefully he can get more games next year and become consistent. I don't think we can expect much from him next year, but hopefully in a couple of years time he will be a solid player. I think it would be great to have a Hampson/Kreuzer combination, but first we will need to find a good temparary ruckman until Hampson and Kreuzer are ready to take over.
