Listen to this board members reading this thread.

You can buy all the hotels in the world, we can be the richest club in the world but unless you get rid of the poor excuse of a coach we have at the moment you can forget about everything and stop being a footy club, but only a business entity.

No other club will put up with 5 years of the shit we have copped. He blames everyone but himself and now you are all finding a scape goat in FEV. I am as pissed as everyone about FEV but Pagan keeps on getting away with his shit coaching displays.

I have barracked for Carlton all my life but cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile Hawthorn, Essendon* and Collingwood are up there. Why not because they have much much better lists than us its becaused they are well coached to their capabilities.

I am losing the faith and I reckon we Carlton members get together and do something about this. I am so sick of Pagans old ideas. If nothing changes before next year, goodness help us.

Mark H, whoever reads this. Listen UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

pagan is not solely responsible for our current situation. if we sack pagan and think all our problems are solved, then we deserve to stay at the bottom of the ladder.

pagan only makes up 1 part of the football club. there are many factors to why we have been poor for the last 5 years, pagan has to take some responsibility for out performances, but he can not take all the responsibility.

eg/ pagan may be responsible for he and mitchell not speaking,
the club are responsible for allowing it to continue.

rightly or wrongly the club backed pagan, they then needed to provide pagan with their full support.

hawthorn have been successfull because the hawthorn football club have given their full support to clarkson and backed him to the hilt.

in the 5 seasons pagan has been at carlton, we have continually undermined him.
If a new coach comes in and the club undermine his also, we are going to be no better off.

don't take this as me saying pagan is not responsible, he is partly responsible, BUT he is not solely responsible.

Good move - there go about 10,000 members.

I thought the club had moved on from handling things in such a pathetic way. No worries - this will send his trade value through the roof!! Pack of idiots.

Not sure why this is pathetic as he has been getting away with crappy behaviour for a while.

Perhaps the club gave him an ultimatum previously and he crossed that line on Saturday, hence the axing. Sitting him in the bench is not having the desired effect or playing him full back either.

I think it is a positive for the club to have taken such a strong stand with him.

Fev to Weagles and either Pick 1, 2 or 3 for Judd.

Obviously the club wants him to stay but only if he is committed. The ball is in Fev's court. Show us you want to be at the club or make arrangements to move.

We have young players at the club who are getting no direction from the "senior " players. Now Fev wants to show them direction, to the toilet.
If you excuse fev cos he's got talent, what are you going to tell Anderson, Grigg or Hampson. A poison environment doesnt lead you to a premiership. There is no excuse for fev's attitude the last month. There may be incidents outside of matches too.

Well done to the club.

P.S Alex take him back.

I don't think we have to worry about Pagan, I can't see how on earth he will be there next year. The only question is whether he goes mid-season or after round 22.

I'm happy they have put their foot down with Fevola. This club needs some strong leadership. We are not getting it on-field, nice to get a bit off field.

Wonder whether it was Pagan or Swann or Icke who decided.

Sorry Syn, no one is stupid enough to believe that though. His body language says it all.

Nah.. you have a coah who is just not capable of getting the best out of alot of players.
I reckon theyre tired of him.
Theyre tired and theyre not going on...

Denis is the one that needs the lay off...

I really believe he is DESTROYING this football club!!!

I cant believe they had a press conference to handle what happened with Fev on saturday night..... its ludicrous!!

No doubt Denis is on the nose. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I want him gone but not at the risk of the new coach coming in and winning a game and loosing the PP. BUT the size of the losses is unacceptable. I think we just have to grin and bare it.

Can i say .. i dont get it.

Ben Cousins is back this week...

It depends on the strength of the club doesnt it.
The kind of balls a club has to make things happen for itself and not take the soft and obvious options.

 - Not surprised that he was dropped from the decriptions of his performance but things must have been really bad for Swann to state that there is a chance he will not play again for the club!?!

Why the press conference? Why not handle it behind closed doors & tell the media that he is injured? Do you think it will help his mental state by hanging him out to dry AGAIN!!!!! He'll be front page news tomorrow & for what?? Pathetic is the only word that describes this. I hope he tells them all to go and get flowered. You just keep dreaming up your unrealistic trades...

This is Bullshit

Carltons best player getting dropped for 2 50m penalties

If Fev aint playing for the rest of the year im not buying a Gold membership next year. We won't be any good for years without Fev.

I guess Pagan can say now that he doesn't have Fev, Lance and Stevo that finishing on bottom of the ladder is fine.

Gone from looking at Finals next year to another 2 years of getting more spoons for thTige kitchen. I really hope Carlton finish dead bottom now.

Come on Dees and Tiges. This is all about Pagan saving his job. Not about winning games

What a joke. And I got so excited there for 20 mins. Best I'd felt for years.

One of the saddest days for the CFC. We are now definitely the AFL laughing stock.

The only reason Fev is in trouble, is 'cause he wears his hart on his sleeve. He's simply saying "Dennis, I'm not putting up with your sh$% any more".

Loved DPs comment after the game on Satdy re watching the Ants and getting some pace into the side. Hard to watch the Ants from the G, Dennis !!. Ah well, he'll have to read Bazza's email report to see if there was any pacy types in our 80 point thumping.

Winners out of this -

Caroline Wilson and the media frenzy that will thrive on this emotive situation.

Losers out of this -

The Carlton Football Club.

Fevola is a champion player - We luv ya Fev.

Just been on the Neil Mitchell Show 3AW of a Carlton conference that Favola is suspended for one week and was told by the club not to return to the club till next Monday and to think about his future and if he wants to return to the club again.
The club is fed up with his antics on the field so shape up or stay out.

Crazy stuff......our only A grade superstar, media face of the club, the player who the kids luv and we want to run him out of the club.

Meanwhile Collingwood go into bat for their man who has been involved in far more serious events and Ben Cousins has had the welcome mat put out for him to come back and play....

I dont get it... a lazy player like Ackland who couldnt be bothered standing the mark of his opponent gets rewarded with a game every week yet Fev is copping it for a 100m penalty that was soft to begin with.......set some standards by all means but be consistent..

We must be tanking.......

Lets see how Fev handles this, will be very interesting to see, Now it's time to unleash JFK and Harts as our two pronged KP forwards.

Strong clubs make the hard decisions, this another step forward for Carlton becoming a strong club again.

Its really really dumb!!!!

Denis thinks "its best for the Carlton Football Club".. wish he did what was best for the CFC in regards to himself.

For them to call a press conference about this tells me there is far more to this that they're not telling us. If it was just for on-field discretions from last week it would be a sound-byte from training. But to do it this way tells me something big is about to happen.

You know the saddest thing that will come out of this?

IF Fev was to leave Carlton for another club at the end of the year, he will know that it will be his last opportunity. He will know that he is not indispensable.

And if he knows that he is not indispensable and on his last chance with his new club, he will REALLY knuckle down and concentrate on his footy and be a mature and absolute consistent gun. No more of that undisciplined and childish crap.

The sad thing for Carlton supporters will be, why can't this new Fev be like this when he was at Carlton??? It's just so sad...Fev...come on...if you truly wanna be a Carlton player, for goodness sakes...cherish it! Cherish it so that us Carlton supporters, Fevola supporters, can continue to cheer for you and see you play in a Carlton final. God knows what a match winner you can be.

The day we see Fev in a different jumper other than a Carlton jumper will be very sad indeed...but if he isn't going to change, there really is no point having him in the side. It may just be a matter of Fev and the Blues being incompatible. The club will still survive regardless...but Fev is just such a character that can be a GREAT positive for the club if he can just do the right things. Oh well...*sigh*...I feel the club's frustration.

PS. I don't wanna nit pick, but trying to kick that torpedo when Murphy was free really PISSED me off...I love Fev, but what the @#$%&!???
