Hulme had no hair. Wiggins has plenty.

You like baldies better.

Wiggins was flower awesome in that last quarter.

He tackled, he chased, he was desperate, he got in the bottom of packs, he gave out the handballs, he laid the shepherds, hit the bumps, did it all to make a lot of otherwise average players look @#$%&! good as he always does.

Without a doubt, the heart and soul of this side.

To put it in perspective, with a similiar positioned player, if we were offered Ryan O'Keefe for Wiggins, I would flatly decline it before taking a piss in Paul Roos' mouth.

WIGGO! flower WIGGO!

Wiggins was good, but one thing stuck in my mind about his performance after the game : His disposal, absoloutely shocking and not AFL standards.... he turned the ball no less than 4 times, thats when i stoped counting.....he just cant hit a target more than 20m in front of him....

his efforts in the last Quarter was first Class, the chasing and tackling, but he does need to get his kicking right to remain in the 22

Every Richmond supporter behind the goals at the City end actually started laughing when he dropped that sitter in the third quarter.

Paul barnard turne himself from a hack to a useful finals player by hitting the ball and man hard, taking big marks and kicking goals. Until Wiggo can do all that, he isnt in the future.

Hey Deano...it's a matter of opinion as to whether Wiggo is good enough to be in our first 22.

Me, I like him....because he wears a Carlton jumper and because...as Hoggy33 wrote...

Quote:

I like that sort of stuff. I like Wiggo's commitment, team ethic and work ethic.

However, it's important to note posts like Dodo 27...

So if that doesn't concern you, then sure put him in your first 22.

I think he's a fringe player...maybe 24th to 26th best on our list...somewhere thereabouts....but that's my opinion, because I value skill (on both sides of the body).

But whilst we are developing, he may too be still developing...I don't know...I hope so.

I was happy with his performance against the Tigers because we won. If we had lost, Wiggo and Lance would be the 2 players I would drop against Geelong this weekend. I'd replace those 2 with either of the following: Edwards, Hartlett or Blackwell.

In the meantime....GO THE WIGGO!

I am interested to see how Luke Blackwell would go as lead up small forward? Isn't he more of a midfield type?

Wiggo is a top notch Ants player who try as he might, just cant cut it at senior level. He'll only hold a place in the team until the better skilled kids on our list develop.

Wiggo is a good honest battler, always gives 100% I can't deny that, however simply is not in our best 22, he is just average in most areas, no height, no real pace, not a long kick, does go in hard, but as I said a battler, while useful on our list, is just a support player when injuries crop up.

You see then we put Simmo, or Gibbs, or someone else as that medium forward.

Maybe even Carrazzo, he played the role last night.

Or even Betts - played the role beautifully against the Kangaroos. Though, might take away from his crumbing potential, which I'm really hoping to see develop this year with the way our forwards are splitting packs. Big thing to notice from last night is that our forwards, when contesting, never once were outmarked. At the very least, the ball came to ground. Eddie just needs to get himself there to swoop.

Wiggo can look like a Roo caught in the spotlights but I like his bravery.....you know Wiggo will lay it on the line when required and take a hit for the club...two players who I wont name took their eye off the footy vs Richmond and didnt go hard enough.
Finals can often be slug fests where acts of bravery can make the difference....Wiggins can play his part IMHO......you need your blue collar workers.
All the bandwagon jumpers were praising Adam Bentick but just weeks before were writing him off....you need your blue collar workers to balance the team out....
