I'm a little bit surprised by the amount of people getting so alarmed by the possibility of Fev being out injured.

Sure, he is vitally important member of our squad and clearly in our best handful of players. However, we have a list of kids now where we can embrace the opportunity afforded them if a guy like Fev does not play. Kennedy can get some time as the key forward, Lance could float in the F50 allowing someone like Bower some solid game time in defence.

Injuries happen, and so long as we have kids developing and maturing as a group, missing the likes of Fevola won't actually be all that bad until we're playing regular finals football. While we're still enjoying the journey to that stage we shouldn't lose too much faith over the odd injury or two.

Yeah, and it's also Round 1 and we're still a developing side. She'll be right mate. :-D

Exactly.

Don't want Fev missing any games but I wouldn't mind seeing what young Jake Edwards would have to offer given the chance of leading out from full forward. :-D

Fev out wo would be a disaster. I understand why people think it would be good for the development of some other young players but the costs far out weigh the benfits. Fev gives the other young guys so much confidence. If we start up the season with a couple of big losses it will take away all the confidence the players gained during the NAB cup.

I dont want Fev out.................but if he was to miss half a season, it would at least force Pagan into proving he has variety in his coaching.

Pagan's previous game plan of kick-it-long has forced fev into modelling his leads & marking techniques around this. Use the same plan with a different forward and you'll be in trouble.

Love to see what Pagan can come up with.

If fev was to be rubbed out (knock-on-wood lord forbid!)....................

Promote Jackson, use him off the bench.

Use Fisher, Lance, Kennedy as main goal targets.

Trail Edwards as a forward pocket / medium forward - cause i think he plays that role well (although i would prefer to see him more in the midfield, off half back, or along the wing.........he looks so cool along the wing

But let's hope Fev is allright.

I reckon Fev will play, but if he doesn't Hartlett must be his replacement.

Thanks Thomas...know what you mean about the syllables...

Mind you, if Fev misses games, it might be...

I've got picks 1 and 2 again this year.

Works well that.

just on a ch. 9 news flash - carlton coach denies fevola injury rumours

and on 10, pagan indicated the knee is structually sound, and that it's just bruising, backing up what has been said previously

..lookit, until we see the fev in action we aint gonna know if he's injured or not.. ..if he is and needs some work done, i just hope they get it to him..unlike a coupla yrs back when he played on injured..

..if he cant play, i'd play whitss as FF.. ..we know his pace aint the best, but he still takes a strong mark, and he'll prove a good ladder for the other forwards to climb for mark of the year.. ..and kennedy gets the CHF hotspot..
