I’m a bit disappointed with the lack of play Saddington had against Hawthorn and on top of that he is being dropped to the reserves.

I think he could become one of the main back men for us, if only is given a chance :x

Ackland and Cloke both to stay in the team so it's unlikely McLaren will make the cut.

Would be great to see Hartlett get a run... Would be good to see Grigg in the team as well.

Grigg and Hartlett. Do it.

11.45pm Saturday night .. who's going to broadcast it? Will SEN take it, or MMM, ...? Or are we stuck with watching numbers on afl.com.au ?

This "unprecedented" AFL coverage better improve for the Real Season!!

Who is going to match up on who?

Rucks will be Ackland/Cloke vs. McIntosh/Moran.

Is Thompson playing? Anyone reckon Setanta will get first crack on him?

Bentick had his first game back and ran into one of the best mids in the comp in Mitchell and now some want to drop him....lets give the kid a go.
He is one of the few we have who can lay a decent tackle and we need a blue collar worker in the packs...Bentick wont get to the standard required by playing Bullants footy...the more times he plays vs Mitchell, West etc the better and smarter he will be. He isnt a super athlete and wont ever be so he needs to get smarter to be effective at senior level.
I think there is a place for Blackwell in the seniors as well...like Bentick he wont get any better playing vs kids from the burbs in the Bullants...he needs senior footy....

A player like Saddington who is only a backup player should not be getting priority over young players who are finishing their apprenticeship...

Yeah, i'm with you on that.

I think Bentick is a very couragous player with alot of heart but i feel he is going to have a tough fight on his hands to keep his spot in the seniors this year.

BUT...........................I don't want the revolving door Match Commitee of last year. If your gonna bring in a player, at least play him for a couple of games before dropping him again.

It's like Setanta last year:-
He was rewarded for good form in the Bullants. But was given stuff all of an opportunity when he was promoted to the seniors list and was dropped back to an emergency the next week. It was only by pure luck (or misfortune of another) that an injury occured and he was re-promted! The rest is history my friends and Setanta hasn't looked back!

I'm not a big fan of Saddington's but he put in a good hard pre-season and deserves a go. But on that, Bower has worked his butt of just as hard and has been in good form. He too deserves a spot.

Saddington might actually pick up some form in the two's anyway.

Probably Hartlett for Kennedy.
Possibly McLaren for Ackland.
Maybe Grigg for Saddo.
