Channel 10 played back their Malouf audio (re: saying CFC would consider SOS as an assistant).. SOS was confused because he thought it was already a done deal... Club ambivalent on whether they want SOS or not (surprised anyone?) SOS confused and bailed...

That sounds a bit weird. Did SOS just take the word of Ch10? You would think a call to MM to clear up what the quote was about would be in order. Just bailing relying on media reporting (if that's all it was) would be flakey behaviour.

I'd love an EGM, the kind we had to get rid of Elliot, sack everyone completely, coaching staff included and just start completely again afresh with completely new people.

Assuming:

a. nominations from good people
b. people vote the good people in
c. the good people prove to be good people

We were asked to do b. last year and what did we do? Voted in Greg Lee. Made a solitary change. Kept the others in. I dont share your trust in the process.

Pathetic.

Ineptitude of the highest order.

The sooner these clowns who are the Board are out, the better.

However, the only thing that worries me is that "Old Boys Club" - the people who want Pagan sacked want Mitchell and Mitchell only. I believe that if it hadn't been for that condition, then Pagan would be gone by now.

I'm inspired with confidence after that 3AW interview with Malouf.

In my opinion, he was uncomfortable, totally unconvincing, amateurishly unprepared, and trying to cover up what has really happened, particularly in regard to the SOS position.

Oh well, I guess it's not a dull week.

Just a ripping performance by the M Train on AW

I must say- Smorgon has used him as the sacrifical lamb today to feel the brunt of all the interviews.. Absolutely weak.

Sometimes I get disappointed at the lack of the AFL's media saturation in Canberra. And sometimes I love it!

Wow this really is the debacle that just keeps on giving, isn't it!

Perhaps the board only gave SOS a non-core promise?

As many on here are aware, SOS has ambitions to coach the Blues and thought it was as opportune a time as ever to jump on board, considering the fragile Pagan situation. His opportunism has further alientated members of the Brown ticket against him.

I think that was was annoyed me the most. You had people dipping their own pockets to try and do something constructive to help the club, and SOS effectively scuttled it to look after his own self interest.

That's what I was thinking whilst watching a news report on this 18 year old girl who was kidnapped when she was ten and only escaped recently.

Now she's got something to complain about.

BTW nothing about the Carlton "crisis" on the ABC News in Brisbane.
