Almost half of Carlton supporters have a European and Middle eastern background. More than other club. Collingwood is second.

The problem Carlton have a large number of middle eastern followers but for some reason these followers do not buy memberships. This is where we can catch up to other big clubs where you see us lagging behind in membership numbers. Research shows most of these 'followers' are out in the north west suburbs and of second generation middle eastern families.

This helped form the Northern Bullants alliance. A player like Salem will bring these supporters out in numbers. He will help the club connect with the middle eastern community and it should translate into more memberships and higher attendances.

hang on a second, what is your source regarding Carlton supporters backgrounds? Is the half that you're talking about 45% Euro and 5% Middle Eastern? We had a player named Mil Hannah a while back, you may have heard of him. Did our middle eastern supporters sign up when he played?

I think we're being typically ignorant and resting on our laurels to consider we're the only life form interested in the game of AFL and can potentially buy a membership.

Let's recruit an alien. Just rookie list that corpse they found at Roswell 40 years ago. It's probably better than most rookie list prospects this year. I've seen ET twice, guys, those things have the potential to come back to life, and given our record with ruck development, I'd rather wait for an alien to come back to life after forty years, than wait for another Hampson type to come good.

Imagine what happens when Xenu and his crew come back to take over the planet, and we've got an alien on our playing list? That's alien overlord/number one ticket holder to you. And when these bastards destroy the earth and everything we hold dear, or so the story goes, we'll have first dibs at a new home ground that holds 25,000 screaming aliens in a suburban alien venue which in itself will be in a swinging alien electorate, and when we're making all sorts of alien currency at our boutique stadium playing against start up alien franchises, you'll all be wondering why we didn't think of this sooner.

Get Alf. Relocate to Melmac. Get stuffed.
