Have seen quite a few boys play this year but I miss
James Sicily...
Lang, hourigan, Holman, cutler and honeychurch would all
make a good addition to our club..
Hope that Tippett makes our list as a rookie, has really
taken he's footy to the next level, would help out down
back...
Quess we will find out Thursday week, we need to nail
our 3 picks..

Grat feedback from someone whose seen these guys.

Given you've seen them, and you think Tippett has gone to a new level why would you risk missing out on him by hoping he is available as a rookie? Other better prospects at pick 51...I guess if you're looking for a KP with that pick.

If he's stepped up to another level and can be reconsidered as AFL standard, Tippett could be the guy to release Everitt/ Walker into the centreline. Is he that good? I haven't seen anything of him. I'm just hoping the calls I'm hearing of him are true.

From what I've been told, mick is looking at building
up a team of medium runners/mids/forwards, players
who can play multiple positions.
So having said that, our three picks, I believe they
will be midfielders. They are keen on Lennon and Salem
but know they will be gone..
Have seen Tippett twice this year, held he's position well,
has worked on the kicking side, one v one contests did
impress me. Quite flexible also, quicker than I expected..
Just think he would work well down back with Jamison,
very determined from what seen, which is not a great deal.
would straighten up our backline..
Only problem, reckon he will go in the draft, somewhere between
45/65.
Lewis Taylor, James Sicily and nick Holman/Darcy hourigan will be our targets..

The new Irishman Sheehan looks like a likely lad, add a bit of aggression to our girls.

If Marcus bontempelli slides through to us, according to
Herald sun, would be an amazing pick up, oh yeah,
plays like Scott pendelbury...
May take a couple of years though..
Next Thursday can't come quick enough, hopefully
adding three quality players..
From what I've been told , which is not much, we will
be picking three midfielders (13/39/51), then in the rookie
draft, look at tall keys, thorp/Tippett/fort, depending who is
available.. Hoping thorp and Tippett are, both would add
instant value..
Have seem bontempelli play twice this year, both TAC cup
games, he is very skilful, has plenty of time, i could be
wrong, looked a bit slow, but overall has a lot of talent..

You should jump into the boxing ring with some of our "girls".
I'm sure they'd appreciate the opportunity to listen to some of your thoughts.

I'd recruit Christian Salem. Reason why......

Christian Salem has a Lebanese background and with Carlton having a massive middle eastern following in the north north/western suburbs of Melbourne I think he would be a great marketing tool to reach out to the middle eastern supporters out there and drag them along to games.

He could be somewhat of cult hero amongst his community and they would come in massive numbers to follow one of their own. It could drive up membership sales and attendances.

And the kid can play.

But will he get to #13?

I'd recruit Luke Reynolds. Reason why......

Luke Reynolds has an Australian background and with Carlton having a massive Anglo-saxon following in the suburbs of Melbourne I think he would be a great marketing tool to reach out to the anglo supporters out there and drag them along to games.

Almost half of Carlton supporters have a European and Middle eastern background. More than other club. Collingwood is second.

The problem Carlton have a large number of middle eastern followers but for some reason these followers do not buy memberships. This is where we can catch up to other big clubs where you see us lagging behind in membership numbers. Research shows most of these 'followers' are out in the north west suburbs and of second generation middle eastern families.

This helped form the Northern Bullants alliance. A player like Salem will bring these supporters out in numbers. He will help the club connect with the middle eastern community and it should translate into more memberships and higher attendances.

I dunno Moshe...I'm surprised there isn't a Rabbi on the payroll. Perhaps if you told them he came from Collingwood?

Collingwood are very keen on Salem….. for this reason. If he gets to the pies, they will use every inch of his middle eastern background to gain as many more supporters onboard the pie train as they can.

Clubs are looking at every opportunity to drive up numbers.

Hawks and Kangas are playing games in Tassie.
Saints and Swans playing a game in New Zealand.
The Hawks are recruiting guys from New Zealand because ethe know the game is becoming popular over there
Kangas have Majak Dawe. Perfect example how that ha shelled the club reach an entire new community

A player like Houli would have been great for our club.

I'd rather recruit a player based on their playing ability. Because building a team of great footballers will lead to infield success which would help drive up memberships. This way we increase memberships and also help build a quality list.
