We ain’t trading Harry, we ain’t getting Petracca.

We DO have an Elimination Final in 11 days. Let’s focus on that.

Rather than less tall forwards, I think we need better quality small forwards. A better forward coach could make a difference too.

Look at what Geelong does with Cameron and previously with Hawkins - leave a pocket open for them to lead into. Sometimes, even start some smalls out wide in the pocket and have them dart inwards as the ball comes in, drawing their player away from the pocket, leaving it free for Cameron to run into.

Petracca is the Sort of Guy we need to get us over the line and Win the Elusive premiership but not at the Expense of Mackay and our 1st round pick.

Far too much Risk given his Age and recent injury.

Lukosius for 2 x 1st (or cheaper if we can), Harry to Dees and Trac to Carlton.

Anyone?

No. Where do you envisage Luko to play?

I'm a huge McKay fan.

Lukosius will be lucky to be offered a 1st round draft pick.
Sounds like the Suns NEED to make room for players like Rioli, who wont come cheap.
Maybe Rioli- Luko will be part of a swap.

that's the problem old bean. you're a pitto fan, a harry fan etc it clouds you.

be a carlton fan. lets win and do whatever that takes, taking out the emotion of liking players out of it.

"Lukosius had his best season of his young career in 2023, booting 39 goals in 22 games to finish second in the club’s goalkicking behind Ben King. Lukosius has found a home as a third key forward and excels with his elite precision field kicking and booming long boot. He also has fantastic running capacity which has seen him push up and play on the wing at times."

Can play defence, wing or forward and is a potential upgrade on the annually injured Williams, Marchbank, Martin or even McGovern IMO.
And he is an elite mark, only kicked 23-18 this year, but I'm sure we can make room for him.

he has a bit of rory lobb about him. maybe it clicks for him and he comes on strong at some point?

he'd be a low risk, low outlay kinda deal.

Yep ...... we've already gone down the "swap a centre half forward for a mid fielder" path

Not willing to pay that, but totally expecting them to ask for it.
I can't see them giving us a Geelong - Bowes deal that's for sure.

I'd be giving Trac a wide berth. We have no idea what sort of condition he's in.

I'm also against trading Harry now that he seems to have gotten over the yips.

Lukosius intrigues me, if the price is right.

Harry’s an A grader. Clubs should be looking at what they will give to get him. Not the other way around. If Melbourne want him they should be throwing Petracca (disillusioned, 29 and coming off an extreme injury) plus another carrot. Not the other way round
