I think Crocker's position in the Norf set up allows them to replace a coach as they would replace a player.

Our set up is more like Iraq & Afghanistan, operating amongst the rubble of a deposed autocrat... factional parties clamouring for superiority. There are foundations that need to be repaired and I think there might be more to learn from the mid-table teams than the ones at the pointy end.

Imo, the critical thing - for better or worse - is how powerful our Senior (and some not so senior) players are.

Make no mistake, Bolton was doing the right thing, based on the agreed plan. HOWEVER.... he had to go because..... he'd lost the players, particularly Cripps, C. Curnow, Thomas, Simpson, and possibly Murphy. If you're not sure, watch replays of the GWS, St Kilda, and Essendon* games.

Being seduced by the short term success of an interim coach is a dangerous proposition.
I think it adds to his resume. it isn't the whole resume.

What I think has happened is that Teague has knocked out any untried coach. He has at least some runs on the board.
But Clarko, Ratten, Voss would all have to be considered. When I say that, I mean give Clarko whatever he wants to take the job.
