Don't know Mark. I think I could lead this team to a premiership this year.
I have faith in my selections, setup's and game plan. I just don't get listened too.

Mick has not been a success by any measure.

I think we would of won more games this year under Ratts.

Does this mean it would of been at the expense of the longer term? We will just have to wait and see, I will judge Mick next year.

Honestly though, I think we have got a vengeful angry old man who isn't coaching our team for the right reasons, and in 2 years time we will finally go through a proper process to find our next coach.

What a quaint post. So far, he's one game short of Ratten's best ever result and with a much worse team.

Quaint.....

Well we did win 13 games in 09 and 15 in 2011, and we won 11 last year and 11 this year.

Though if we win this week, a lot of things change...

Number of wins is irrelevant with such a compromised fixture. Ladder position and success at the end of the year is the only thing that counts.

So far, we've made it into the finals, which equals 2009 and 2010, and surpasses 2012. A win on Sunday equals 2011.

And all this with an inferior playing list.

I never pushed hard to get rid of Ratten, but I'm pretty happy we did now. Malthouse has surpassed my expectations.

So if we win the next 4 games, giving us 15, then its only as good as our 2011 season?

Why is it an inferior playing list Moshe?

Why is it an inferior playing list Moshe?

A number of things I believe:

1. Judd is no longer at his peak.
2. Carazzo is no longer at his peak (albeit a smaller peak than Judd).
3. Gibbs & Murphy are at best as good as they were.
4. Nothing startling has really been brought in.

So basically the list is around the same with some aging. The natural improvement in the younger players from 2005 thru 2008 had already seemed to happen in 09, 10, and 11.

I therefore regard it as a slightly inferior list.

Add the demise of the B&F winner Scotland and a poor season from Betts and Kreuzer.

While I cringe at Moshe's statement,
He's basically on the money.

The positive improvement of Henderson <<<< the negative decline of our midfield in the last two years

If Tricky Micky can get the Blues into a Prelim ... I will overlook all the poor coaching decisions, the dumb team selections and the weak player management that we have had throughout the year ... and will start posting positive things about the super duper coach.

MM is a genius, I have been right behind him all the way and will stick with him at least till our next loss. Our next Melbourne game is on Grand Final day, tho it might be hard to get tickets, Vlad the Impaler has decreed that it will be played at Glenferrie Oval as Hawks have earned the eright for a home grand final.

I'm sure he'll sleep better knowing that.

Thank God the guy who wrote this at half time isn't in charge:

Quote:
Waite should go into the backline ... Henderson forward (surely someone in the coaching panel can see this).

He did a good job yesterday. He has picked up on a few things we did well over the last few years and let us do them again. Also pushed our press back a bit to make space forward and i like that.

Judd still got him over the line though and many didn't rate Ratts 2011 for that very reason so that cannot be overlooked..

Well ... people make mistakes ... lol ... anyone following the super duper coach should know this. And really the other part of the post was for those who have complained about my negativity ... as you know ... tricky Micky doesn't listen to anyone.

So as long as we win this week (despite all the crappy coaching from MM) ... you should be very happy that I will stop being negative ... you should be encouraging me ...

4 weeks ago Malthouse stated that some of out list will need to be cut.

If we were to make the Prelim, or better still the Grand Final,

do you think that this would cloud Micky's judgement of our list ?
