If even one of them is back earlier than expected I'll be thrilled.

I was told on Thursday night by someone close to the club that Weitering & Pittonet will both be back within 2 weeks. Hope they are right as both are vital

Hopefully this is true, as long as we are not rushing them in.
Great news.

Hopefully one or both are back for the Saints.
However, the Saints will (or at least they should) crack in hard on Weitering's shoulder first game back so it had better be fully right to go (from a re-injury perspective more so than a conditioning/pain perspective which I'm sure he he can handle). He should probably tape up the opposite shoulder just to confuse them a bit.

Yeah, but how many others will have gone down by then? McGovern will probably do a hammy (or two) running onto the ground.

I can't believe we are still pinning our hopes on McGovern.

We shouldn’t be. The main focus should be getting Weiters, Pitto and Cerra back. All three are key cogs to our best 22 and generally have a track record of being able to play more than 10 games per year. If McGovern, Williams and Marchbank can get back, that’s great but I wouldn’t pin my hopes on it given their injury histories.

The trick will be to stay in contention and not lose any more players in the meantime…..
