Well it looks like a tigers v blues at the MCG next week. That gives us a great chance imo.
1 we play well at the MCG
2 we have a good record against the tigers
3 we have more finals experience than the tigers.

The last point is most relevant. It takes a few finals matches before most teams can perform in september.

The sakc Mick mob are facing a conundrum this week...

Cheer the boys on against the tigers... knowing that it will equal Ratten's best

No conundrum; it's called hedging your bets

Carlton loses and it's a case of "I told you so"

Carlton wins and it's a case of "I was finally happy with his selections, I was happy with who he chose as sub, I was happy with the number of talls, the number of taggers, the moves that he made which I've endorsed, the moment he chose to activate the sub was when I had suggested it, the gameplan was changed to the one I had been banging on about, player X marked the ball when I said he would, player y ran to quadrant A7 of the MCG to receive the ball when I had calculated he should, the stats showed a differential of xyz in the ratio of contested/uncontested to 8 decimal places as I'd calculatted we needed to win the game" etc.

Rightly or wrongly, we play a final at the G next week. What can he and we do??

Why wrongly???? What are you talking about???

Just a reference to those that will say we got in by default or don't really deserve to be there.

Has performed well below expectations this year. Massive improvement required next year, or we've blown it completely.

If you're expecting bigger things next year you're probably going to be disappointed. There needs to be quite a big clean up of the list which will likely take a couple of years.

Our goal kicking ladder this year is very promising. Haven't seen the goals spread around the squad so much for a while.

The truth is that we are cheering for our club, irrespective of what people's thoughts are regarding the state of the list, the coaching situation or anything else at the end of the day all we want to see is Carlton winning.

I can't remember ever going into a game hoping we would lose based on what i thought about any other issue, nor have i ever been disappointed to see a player that i may have not thought much of have a good game that contributed to a good win.

It may be time to forget the Ratten vs Malthouse argument, fact is that Ratten is no longer coach of our club and Malthouse is.

If we can get over the Tigers on Sunday i will be equally as happy as when we got over Essendon* in the first week of the 2011 finals series, irrespective of who is coaching or playing.

It's never been about Ratten vs Malthouse, now let's get behind the baggers as one!

...although if we're 5 goals down you're welcome to start bagging Mick kk.

Has worked the last couple of times.

For the record i was pro Ratts.

I'm sick of all the sakc Ratts and now sakc MM factions.

The facts are that if Ratts had been allowed to see out the final year of his contract, and not performed to expectations; Roo's would've been our coach next year.

It hasn't panned out that way, so now we all need to get behind MM for the period of his tenure and get some stability back into the club.

Hopefully those at the top realise this as well.

The problem is that people are not pro-Ratts or pro-MM. That is just simple minded debating.
Posters are voiceing their concerns about our current structures/setups & plays.
I for one was posting similar issues when Ratten when coaching, ie. Henderson forward, small forward line, etc.
I do however agree with the "Ratten should have seen his contract out" remarks but no way am I against MM.
Simple he's a Carlton coach now and we need to support him. Well I do when debating with opposition supporters!!!!

There's a reason you and i aren't senior AFL coaches.

People need to understand that
