Maybe we don't drink enough milk

Hopefully JW gets up for the Saints game

Challenge now is to win next week. Then JW comes back for Saints. Then build momentum.

Weitering's 4 weeks away according to the AFL injury list. Have you got some intel suggesting an earlier return?

The good news is that our season is closely resembling Liverpool FC in 2020/21, they lost all their tall defenders to season ending injuries by mid season, recruited two new ones in the mid season transfer window who promptly got injured as well, but they came back this season and won two trophies while coming within a bee's dick of the other two. #17 in 23,book with confidence.
Key difference being that VARs never go our way.

:D. Get stuffed, we'd be sitting on a treble if VAR did its job (and your lot would've lost Cresswell in the first 10 minutes of that game you beat us). And we got rogered by it last season too - no punishment for the VVD leg breaker and then the winning goal chalked off by VAR drawing offside lines with a crayon! :)

True. Ref's missed it as they were still waiting for Milner to get back on side from 2 years earlier.

Anyway. I derailed this thread. Sorry.

Akuei got concusssed yesterday.
Leaves Kemp as the last man standing 193cm +
Nect in line is Setterfield at 192cm.

Cupboard is bare.
As bad as 2002.

Seems like it'd be cruel to bring Kemp in next week knowing he'd be guaranteed to do the ACL in each knee plus compound ankle fractures. We seem to have a reasonable number of small forwards fit at the moment so let's replace Sam Durdin with Motlop and hope for the best.

Even if he wasn't lights out I wouldn't think of playing him. He's not even VFL standard.

Since the AFL loves its culture wars, maybe we could apply for special dispensation to poach a tall from another code. I googled "tallest NRL players" and there's more than you'd think. Any of these as good as Folau (maybe we could get Folau? At least we know he'd get on with Bam Bam)

200cm (6' 7")
Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Dominic Young

199cm (6' 6")
Jason Saab

198cm (6' 6")
Thomas Hazelton, David Klemmer, Shaun Lane

197cm (6' 6")
Matthew Eisenhuth, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Campbell Graham, Rhys Kennedy, Josh Kerr, Laitia Moceidreke, Taniela Paseka

Just to clarify, JW said he could be back for Saints but prob more likely Eagles. Which tells me there is a chance he will be back for Saints. I mean with so many men down he will really try and make it.

If I remember correctly, Weitering does have good healing and recovery times.
Hopefully we can get both him and Pittonet within the next 2 weeks but obviously must not rush.
We need them for finals (I know your reading - so that’s for you my Bitchmond buddy).

I was told on Thursday night by someone close to the club that Weitering & Pittonet will both be back within 2 weeks. Hope they are right as both are vital
