Why is the club making decisions based on mathematically making the eight? We were meant to be top 4 you toss bags (Aimed at the club).

Making the eight just delay's the inevitable for a week and solves nothing.

The Axe should fall with another 10 goals loss against Collingwood.

KK don't forget we beat them by 10 goals only 10 weeks ago so they owed us a slaughter.

Not like Malcolm Fraser is doing much these days. Let's get him.

See if we can mirror his current revisionist history on human rights, and first day on the job release a statement deriding salary cap cheats..

Absolutely. WE can accept the status quo or start making changes for a better 2013.

We are going to go in hard as we can to win ...something...anything... from the Pies game.
The Pies will get retribution for the damage and embarassment we inflicted on them in round 3.
We did a lot of damage to the Buckley and Pies brand. They will be relentless; it's Carlton.

We will be buggered against the Kangas after this game, and I don't expect a form and fitness reversal from our team.
As a result, we will probably lose against the inconsistent Kangas...just because we will be buggered from the previous match, unless WCE give North a touch up.

So what if we win against the Dogs and Tigers with Waite and Hendo back!!
We cannot make the 8 if we lose against the Pies and Kangas in the next fortnight.
I am expecting a change of coach end of season. Don't think it will happen earlier.

Sticks and Swan...mmm...they don't fill me with confidence atm.
There needs to be a swell of support for change to wake them from their slumber.
I'm afraid, it's time for a revolution.
Onya Synbad. Thanks for waking us from our acceptance of mediocreness.

Sticks, a champion footballer and captain but a crap prez - his loyalty to Ratten through his integrity on mateship and loyalty to Ratts is clouding his judgement, he's the man steering the club and needs to make the right decisions for the club and keep emotions from a friendship out of the equation. This I don't believe he can do

they love the club too much.

Lets see how much Ratten really loves this football club.

Does he love it more than the cash or not???

He would know where he is at with this group.

Personally i think for as much as the board backs him.... the north melbourne game is where the referee will step in and call a technical knockout

Whoa, twice in this thread I've agreed with you. 1. John Nicholls as our greatest leader. 2. A defeat by North being the end for Ratts.........scary stuff .

I'm curious as to why people think a loss to North will be the last straw -
Is that the point when it becomes mathematically impossible to make the 8?
Or is losing to North *that* bad?

I would have thought getting embarrassed by GWS would be a stinger?

I think a lot will hinge on whether we can pull out wins against Richmond & the Dogs.
A couple of wins will make it hard for Sticks & Swann to sack him

It will be the last straw, culmination of everything. I can't see a version of a loss to North and him coaching the week after.

A pretty reliable BF poster with info that there is a push for Ahmed Fahour to run for President.
I think he'd be a great addition to the board but what would actually need to happen for him to depose Sticks?

Fahour would win on corporate governance. business nous. contacts. relevant experience. management skills. Sticks would be in front on the top-blokeness quotient.

But sticks is reluctantly in the chair, so I'm sure he'd jump at the chance to replace himself with someone more suitable, so there shouldn't be any kind of a coup required. Sticks doesn't really want the gig, so he tells us.

I guess that would count out Matt Rendell as a recruiter.

Fahour is CEO of Australia Post; doubt he'd have the time.
Best mates with Andy D and Fat Eddie McGuire which can't hurt but makes me worry about his judgement.

From what i heard a while ago, would love the gig time permitting.

Sticks top blokeness might be just enough to talk Fahour into it.

It's a tough thing to detach yourself from something that's been a massive part of your life - takes genuine inner strength and a large dose of selflessness

I believe Dick Pratt vetted AF thoroughly as a potential replacement for himself.

Arx the blokes at the bank where he worked.

I'd love Ahmed.

But I'll wait until it comes from a more reputable source than bigfooty before I get excited.

That's an unusually spiteful piece from a serial suckhole.

Motive?
