I'm emotional. I'm stoked we won. I was at the game. But I missed the win. I took alcohol into the groung because I was planning on a night out after the game but I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices they charge. I got caught, because of a mate flashing his bundy around saying we won't get caught. I got kicked out at half time and copped a $375 fine. I can't afford that. I'm a uni student. I'm dirty. I just wanted to have a drink at the game without paying 8 or 9 dollars per drink. Not to mention I had to pay $48 for a ticket. And to make it worse, I missed a great win. But hey, we won. And I while I'm still shattered about the fine (which I intend to contest) I am so pumped with the win. AND MY BOY JOEY. I love you Joe. Courage personified. He will be a gun.

At the end of the day, I think tonight has shown me that no matter how bad things get, if the blues get up, everything seems great. It makes me realise just how much the Blues mean to me and how much I love the club. Anyway great win blue boys. I love ya and look forward to our charge deep into finals in the next few+ years.

BTW, talking to one of Fev's managers tonight, apparently he absolutely loves Carlton, was never going to leave, and would have been devastated if we had have traded him.

Anderson never takes his eyes off the ball

Best quality

Its toughness we need

Top effort

They dont often give up

Cloke is a big plus

He has improved

Definetly a better team with Hampson in which allows Cloke to play in attack

I said I wasnt interested in this game

Yeah I lied :-D

Er..... a couple of comments missing still ..........

Lol how many goals in a row have the let Brisbane kick now?

Richmond are far more advanced than Carlton, on and off the field.

And in 18 months we will have an elite training facility as good as the Lexus Centre... and we'll actually own it too

Liked the look of Bower at FB.

Maybe he could develop into a really attacking Full Back. Everytime he plays on a taller defender he is rarely beaten.

Hey kk, if you go the foxsports site, they show the mark when they are chatting to Jason and Lynch.

But what if that loss is what made the team realise that lead changes are only lead changes - that they don't mean the game is out of your control?
Last night - when the Lions closed in the 2nd, and then when they got on top in the 3rd, was exactly like every game we've played against them in recent years. Our response in both cases was not like every time we've played them...

It hurts to not make week 23, but I'm absolutely certain that our losses this year have meant something to the development of the team, unlike the "They'll learn from that" losses of recent years.....

Carlton supporters everywhere round Brisbane last night. HIGH win. Hugged a lot of strangers, however they were dressed in navy blue thus aligning them immediately with a heritage of success and sophistication.

Beer warning- Chalk Hotel: crappest/flattest pot I've had in a long time. And the pub up the road which I think is the Imperial Australian or something like that- just flat out shit. Rubbish set-up and bad prices.

But the mood and atmosphere from both supporters was really good; however, you can still sense that the Brisbane Lions apparent pride is not anywhere near as deep-rooted as Carlton maniacs.

Kudos to the dude at the bottle-o heading out of town hanging shit on Lions supporters.

What a win...

Anyone know where Melvey lives?

Should we arrange a welfare check at his home to make sure he is okay? I'm worried about his lack of attendance on this thread since the win.

Perhaps he and Synbad are sharing a beer together before they post their thoughts. :P

So Verbs are you trying to tell me that Melvey is alive and well and one of those on the ground?

Is this like a 'Where's Waldo' photo?
