North Melbourne is in line to get pick 11 using pick 25 and a future second-round pick as the key parts of the swap. @AFLcomau

I wish we kept our own future 2nd rounder.
Ainsworth won't move the needle much IMO and turns 28 next year.
Time will tell I guess.

We probably start the draft with Picks 21, 25, 27, 30, 45 (might go back to dons) and 54 (plus 2026 picks north's 2nd rd, swans 1st, own 1st).

I am guessing picks 21 and 25 get eaten by a Dean bid and maybe even part of 27 - its hard to say with all the matching picks. So our first pick is around 30. Then we have points to match ison after that. If we are lucky we may have a spare pick or two which we can trade into the future.

Sticks what is the point of all that trade. Just to help Essendon* and North or what. ?

If our picks are being absorbed anyway? I dont get it. We just give other teams a leg up all the time. Too nice.

Would like to get a 3rd player. A KPP development tall. But we are giving it all away.

Now saying that Dean could get an early Eagles bid, so all of 21, 25 and 27 swallowed up if that is the case

Drewgirl, we simply need the extra points to match the Dean and Ison bids and then perhaps get a late 20s pick for ourselves. Same strategy as Lions and Suns have used recently. Also getting an extra 2nd next year is good too.

Dean is a KPD he won't impact straight away.
Let him go to WC for 3 years then bring him back for practically nothing.
Use 9 and 11 on other youngster's
But Austin is an idiot

Do you have many years at the coal face of recruiting SB?

He doesn’t but that’s true of every area in which he’s the only person who understands everything so I’m not sure what you’re implying there…

Besides, after three years of development for a key defender who’s touted as a possible top 5 pick I can’t see why he wouldn’t be worth “practically nothing” by then.

Shall we go back and revisit the covid thread.
You must feel embarrassed.

He gave up more for Jagga last year than we did for Judd.

Looks like he is doing almost the same this year.

And how is Austin recruitment working out .
Are we challenging for a flag next year or trying to not win another spoon.

How are you blaming Austin (solely) for the potential pick swaps?

How about you tell us how Dean comes to us in three years for practically nothing Syd.

And would love to see your workings on how we gave up more for Jagga than Judd.

How did uncontracted Bailey Smith get to Geelong for pick 17.

I will give you some think music if you like

I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!

How about you answer the questions you’ve been asked?
I just did

On the Judd pick 3 Kennedy and pick 20 for a premiership captain and Brownlow medallist.
Jagga 2 x 1st round picks and a future 2nd

You really live in some way off world don't you.

Austin is list manager he is in charge of the list. He has just let a 2 x Coleman medallist go a potential great ruckman and a father son whose name is iconic in the club.
Now he wants to trade out what he got for them for an 18 year old unproven kid.

He is a disaster and when we finish bottom 6 next year you will still defend him.
The exact same way you defended political decisions made during covid.

You have zero credibility with anything

Pick 3, pick 4 (Kennedy), Pick 20

That’s 5180 points.

We get back Judd (145 games for Carlton over 8 seasons) and pick 46.

Pick 12, pick 14, pick 73 and Owies (rookie pick).

That’s 2438 points.

We get Jagga and picks 63 and 68.

Tell us again how that’s giving up more for Jagga than Judd.

Soooooooooo.....................not many years then. All you had to say was Zero.

You didn't have to go on about Jagga possibly not being Judd. Perhaps Jagga might be twice the player Judd was so then your argument will absolutely suck balls.

Refresh my memory..................didn't you get the covid shots?

Regards Cazzesman

The Herald Sun are saying that some recruiters have suggested that they could make the case for Dean being the number 1 pick this year. So, if West Coast are truly considering a vexatious bid for Dean at 1 we would need 2700 points to match.

With Picks 9, 11, 43 and 54 currently we have 2758 points. Dean is covered.

With the proposed trades with Essendon* and North Melbourne we will have Picks 21, 25, 27, 30, 43 and 54 for a total of 2496 points. Dean is not covered.

How are the proposed trades putting us in a better position? Will someone please ask the club before they put their foot in it?

Why doesn't West Coast bid on Annable at Pick 1? Brisbane only have 1756 points.

Yes hopefully they bid on Annable, Uwland and Patterson before Dean.
Brisbane will get Annable regardless as they will just go into deficit next year.
If they do bid on Dean with pick #1 or #2 then I wonder if it in our best interests to match the bid?

Are you man enough to tell that Peter's face?

Dean has chosen Carlton instead of entering the draft like Dunkley did. You can't burn an 18 year old who made that call and potentially send them interstate. We won't attract any players who might want to move to Carlton if not committed. Walker might choose Richmond. :hitcomputer:

Nason Lovett-Murray (Garlett's son) might snub us when he's likely to be the next decent F/S pick.
