I think Marchbank is good

I have no problem with Plowman

Kennedy looks slower this year than last year (and he had the crook ankle last year).

Polson, Fasolo, Lang, Lobbe & Phillips are probably the worst five on our list. On some days, I think that Simpson and Thomas stifle development, but the other days are when I look through the rest of the list.

Also not too sure what purpose Pickett & Garlett serve... perhaps the former is kept around so McGovern can avoid the 'worst rig' tag.

Haven't seen much of de Koning, Schumacher, Macreadie, Williamson or Kerr... Finbar would want to be good. It's still too soon after Bootsma.

15 out of 40 is too many.

De Koning injured Williamson injured McReadie injured. Picket looked okay but injure

so Schumacher - would like him to get a game and just see.

Kerr would klike him to play FF and move Curnow to the wing or backline. Throw things around for flowers sake doing the same thing harder is just dumb.

Lots of hindsight masquerading as insight in the press today, and an embarrassment of errors regarding the list. Research is apparently not something most footy journalists can manage.

The only research footy journo's do is when they Google something twice.

Going forward we could fix our lack of experienced players issue in one offseason if we are daring enough.
We would also probably need Roos' name attached to the club in some way shape or form.
We have this years 1st, next years 1st (would be a great auction) , possibly a PP and then possibly a player ( SPS? ) to deal with. A free agent if the vibe (Roos) is right.

That should be able to net us a number of quality established players that could work with the capt to take us up the ladder.

Thinking A Crouch bro, Papley, Parker, Cunnington, a collingwood player or two squeezed out by SC issues type player.

We dont need the risk of the draft at this point.

I think you're on the money with that logic, club.

The new coaching appointment is the key to us being enough of a destination club. Also the old guard on the playing list need to vacate the scene as well to let the new guys take some ownership.

Yes Simpson, Dalesy and Murphy should be moved on. Happy to have K and Ed around.

So out of 39 outs the only two we got wrong were Gowers and Holman. That’s a pretty good hit rate.

We have around 20 players out of contract this year, I wonder who will make the call on some of these players in regard to new contracts being offered.
It would be a difficult time for some of them if they have to wait until the new coach is appointed.
One interesting thing that MLG said on Monday was the worry about player retention in the next couple of years if they didnt make a move on Bolton to try to turn things around.
Makes you wonder if they have word that some players are looking to move on when their contracts run out.

Cunningham would potentially be on that list, and I reckon he is a priority to lock in (for this year)

Key re-signings are Cuningham, Jones, Marchbank, Ed and Kruezer.
We surely will not turn over another 12-15 players so I would imagine many of these will be offered new contracts.

Cunningham is a yet to confirm to me. His best is pretty good, but so far as a mid he should be well ahead of Weiters, Curnow and McKay. He seems to be a bit injury prone and could end up being just one of those players that will never have a good run. Let's hope not.

He has hardly played due to injury. Best run is 3 games in a row, which will hopefully be broken now.

He is our line breaker, clean hands, agile, kicks goals, a real weapon.

And here lies the issue.....let's hope you're right and he can have a good run for the rest of the season. AR needs to work his magic as we have too many key players that are continually in and out of the team due to injuries.
