Wow, "my understanding is"....."Ive heard that..."
Where do you get all this "inside information" ?

Looking at the facts. We're 6 wins and 8 losses. We've lost our last 3.
Collingwood had a much younger and much less experienced team out there last night and they've gone light years ahead of us.
At this same stage last year we were 7/7 and had just beaten Collingwood by 23 points. Collingwood had 6 players with less than 50 games, so did Carlton.
Last night they had 8 players with Under 30 games experience.

Its interesting that the person lauded for developing Collingwoods current crop of players was their academy coach, Alan Richardson. The same bloke we paid out because Mick didn't like him. Do your 'insiders' tell you why?

Anyway, we paid the bloke out (because we have sooo much excess money) and he's gone on to be senior assistant at the 8 wins/5 losses Port.
But hey, lets give Mick the opportunity to build his own team. It only took 12 years to get a flag at the best resourced team in the AFL.
If we play our cards right, he could be a premiership coach again at what? 72?

But its OK, apparently he has a game plan and Ratten didn't. Personally, I think Ratten was a miracle worker.
Finals 3 out the last 4 years with a crap list, no development, no game plan and shit players.
Amazing!

Richardson didn't do much with this group that Hughes and Ratts put together.

Really? How do you know that?
If they played consecutive finals with a shit coach and no game plan, who was responsible?
Obviously they performed better than they currently are. How did it happen?

BV Ratts had a Judd charged Carlton.. and every team has more mids now than 4 years ago.

Everyone was stocking up on mids when we were not.... yeah if you want examples look at Collingwood.

Their last hbfer was HarryO.. and they didnt need him tonight...

noone recruits HBFer types for years....and years..... and years.... except us..
Thats why we always felt lucky finding them.....

Noone has such a shocking list of talls...!!!

the games changed since 2011 .. and last year we were exposed... this year we will be exposed!!!...

we need to re shape the list to the kind of list teams are preparing for the MODERN game..

hard runners both ways.. defesive demons and good spread...!!

We dont have that.. lets not kid ourselves..

we have no depth!!!

Thats Ratten Hughes doing....

they didnt understand the game!!

We had senior players at their peak carrying the group. The rest of the group aren't good enough to pickup the slack.

Did we win said finals? Only the one I believe, which of course keeps on delivering benefits to us supporters, nearly 200 pages of benefits.

Least we have a game plan..... Under Ratten it was Chris Judd and that's it. He carried this team on his own shoulders.

Sorry but our list is poo and overrated.

Our recruiting has been crap.

Lack of Development.

Culture is shit.

Has nothing to do with Mick or his game plan.

Yeah mm has nothing to do with how shit we are........ Are you serious?
Terrible decision appointing him, do you think our list is worse or better than ports? I think it's a valid question.

As bad as last night was, I think some are underestimating just how bad we were at times last year as well (and please don't give me the injuries excuse). Last night was the only loss where we were truly done (although the Saints game was similar except for the comeback), every other loss we've been thereabouts against better teams.

It's what's in our players' heads that's a big part of the problem.

I'll judge Mick on what he does in the off-season player-wise, and although I expect 2014 to be another poor year, if the new batch shows some @#$%&! commitment I'll continue to trust him.

Knew this would happen
Just like Pagan its not about the club its about themselves . We were a better tesm under Brittain than Pagan and we were a better team under Ratten than Malthouse . The club in both instances failed to look at the injuries we had in the years they were sacked
Prepare for several years if misery

You realise pagan had no draft picks

Yes it is worse

We have no FF or Chf
We have one good key defender in hendo, jamo is a dud.

An average ruck and a couple of very good on ballers

I can't do this because they're not listening to me.

at least at the end of the day I get paid better than any other coach and that's what counts.

Why play Menzel only once plus half a quarter? He should be playing every week.

Facts lost on some mastermind football brains.
But we have to give Mick five years haven’t you heard.
Mick can’t coach existing players he needs his own list.
