My understanding is Mick has made it be known to several power brokers and board members that he is shocked at the standard of some of players but doesn't blame the individual but blames the lack of development.

I've heard that a week or so ago Mick presented to the board and basically had given the board members a reality check of where this list is at and club is at.
Wow, "my understanding is"....."Ive heard that..."
Where do you get all this "inside information" ?
Looking at the facts. We're 6 wins and 8 losses. We've lost our last 3.
Collingwood had a much younger and much less experienced team out there last night and they've gone light years ahead of us.
At this same stage last year we were 7/7 and had just beaten Collingwood by 23 points. Collingwood had 6 players with less than 50 games, so did Carlton.
Last night they had 8 players with Under 30 games experience.
Its interesting that the person lauded for developing Collingwoods current crop of players was their academy coach, Alan Richardson. The same bloke we paid out because Mick didn't like him. Do your 'insiders' tell you why?
Anyway, we paid the bloke out (because we have sooo much excess money) and he's gone on to be senior assistant at the 8 wins/5 losses Port.
But hey, lets give Mick the opportunity to build his own team. It only took 12 years to get a flag at the best resourced team in the AFL.
If we play our cards right, he could be a premiership coach again at what? 72?
But its OK, apparently he has a game plan and Ratten didn't. Personally, I think Ratten was a miracle worker.
Finals 3 out the last 4 years with a crap list, no development, no game plan and shit players.
Amazing!
